Coimbatore to coonoor
One of the thrilling Roads in India from Nilgiri mountain. You can reach coonoor by toy train also ,coonoor is between ooty and Coimbatore so it well connected to both karnataka and Tamilnadu.
As udagamandalam(old name of coonoor) Roads are in good condition only have to take care of landslide.

Where I stayed:

I booked a home stay near sims park, which was owned by old couple. They are such a cute couple they age around 70+ years but were so brave taking care of house and travelers. They offered us food at night, homestay make you fill at home ,you wont feel as if you are miles of away from your Home.
Most important is was only 500₹ per person.

What to see:

Coonoor is known for its tea plantation scenes and niligiri oil manufacturing.
In coonoor I Hired a car to roam around the mountain, as soon as you reach city, drivers will approach you to offer ride. Don't believe on anyone blindly, first ask rates and confirm,
I paid 1000₹ for 10 places.

He took me to various mountain,like dolphins mountain , sleeping lady mountain, tea plantation, nilgiri oil manufacture , etc
Sims park is in middle of the city here you can purchase tickets to enter in park, cost around 30₹.
This place is soothing,if you want to be away from cities tantram and spend time with friends and family you can come to this place. If you are traveling to ooty then why not Coonoor.
