The World’s Oldest Living Tree

In the ancient kingdom of Anuradhapura, you will find the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, a sacred Bodhi tree that is the oldest living tree in documented history! It is revered by Buddhists since it is believed to have been grown from a branch of the Bodhi tree in India, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

There Are Three Official Languages

Sri Lanka is home to multicultural and multi-ethnic communities, mirrored in the fact that it has three official languages.
