Nusa Penida is the biggest of the three Nusa Islands just off from Bali. Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan make up the trio of islands, each with uniquely breath-taking landscapes. There are so many awesome things to do on Nusa Penida Island. It is an island southeast of Indonesia’s island Bali and a district of Klungkung Regency that includes the neighbouring small island of Nusa Lembongan. The Badung Strait separates the island and Bali. The interior of Nusa Penida is hilly with a maximum altitude of 524 metres.

There are many fast boats which are available in Sanur Port, Serangan Port & Padangbai Port to go to Nusa Penida. Tickets can be bought at the fast boat offices or online. Most of the boat companies offer free hotel shuttle service from and to the main tourist areas in South Bali. Prices start from 200,000 IDR (around $15 USD / ₹1,100 Indian Rupees) one way & 400,000 IDR (around $35 USD / ₹2,100 Indian Rupees) return. The ferry leaves multiple times per day from Sanur (east Bali). If you book it in advance often you can have your pick-up from the hotel included.

I had Booked my Nusa Penida Tour from my Hotel itself. I was staying at this hotel named “Hotel Zia Kuta” which is near Kuta Square. I paid 10,00,000 IDR (around $70 USD / ₹4,900 Indian Rupees) per person for the tour. The price might seem high at first but it was completely worth it. It was a Full Day Trip with Hotel pick up and drop. The tour consisted of a Tour of 4 Beaches in Nusa Penida being Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angels Billabong & Crystal Bay ! with one time Lunch included. We started off from the hotel and it took us 1 hour to reach Sanur Port. From there we had to take a Fast Boat for around 45 minutes which took us to the main island.

Also make sure to carry 1 pair of Sports Shoes to keep up with the walking else you will surely regret the pain later. By reaching on the island, we were transferred to Private cars which would take us to the different beaches.

Kelingking Beach, also known as the T-Rex Beach has become one of the main attractions of Nusa Penida. It has become so popular because it looks like a T-Rex head from the top. From the viewpoint, you have a look over the limestone formations, ocean, and Kelingking Beach. The walk down to this beach is a hard one and might be even the most difficult beach to reach in Nusa Penida but its completely worth it. Remind yourself to take a lot of water, good shoes and sunscreen. As you walk past the roads, you will find alot of small restaurants and small shop vendors selling Snacks and Drinks for refreshments. Further down from the restaurant is what could be considered the main viewing point. From here you can enjoy the view all the way down to the beach. This is the perfect spot to fully grasp the shape of the dinosaur or Kelingking.

Angels Billabong is another popular attractions on Nusa Penida with natural infinity pool is framed by rock cliffs and hangs out over the ocean overlooking Manta Point Beach. There are a number of viewpoints of Angels Billabong, however most of the visitors prefer going down in the infinity pool itself. When you reach in the infinity pool itself you will see the water is clear as crystal with its emerald hues. It is one of the most Instagrammable Natural Pool in the world. Angel’s Billabong also has the most unique landscape in Bali. With jagged natural limestone surrounding the pool and arch over the water, which will leave you speechless when you first arrive here.

Broken Beach is an incredible little cave shaped beach on Nusa Penida island. The highlight of the cave and the reason it is called Broken Beach is due to the archway that wraps around the bay allowing water to flow in and out from the ocean. It has a big natural pool, with about a hundred meters in diameter, created by sea abrasion and collapsed limestone hill in million years ago. This hole has 98 meter in diameter and offering unique and scenic view. Before arriving at the spot, you will be welcomed with a breathtaking view of blue sky and blue sea blended in one color makes us feel in a different planet. Broken Beach also offers an uncommon attraction where stingrays and dolphins swim in the sea early in the morning locals say. So, don’t think twice to visit this incredible spot. Broken Beach was my Personal Favorite which ill visit again pretty soon.

Crystal Bay which was not so Crystal is the name of a secluded beach with a 200-metre stretch of sand on the west coast of Nusa Penida. Despite its isolation, the bay is quite accessible thanks to well-developed roads. Besides its beautiful, palm-fringed beach, the bay is best known as one of Nusa Penida’s famous snorkelling and dive sites. Its a Great Place to Sit & Chill while enjoying the beachy vibes with a pint of beer maybe. The bay is scenic, being surrounded by the nearby hilltops on both ends and with the Pulau Batumelinjong islet dotting the nearby horizon. You can also explore the seaside temple, Pura Segara Penida, halfway along the bay.
