Gar firdaus bar-rue zamin ast, hami asto, hami asto, hami ast... Truly spoken - Kashmir is the heavenly abode.

Straight out of a Ruskin Bond novel, planned against the jaw-dropping background, a grand glimmering artificial waterfall is all set to swoon the tourists and grace the mesmerizing meadows of Gurez Valley soon.

The valley of Bandipora in north Kashmir will now shine with more splendour - thanks to the local administration. But that's not all! There's much to see in this valley of delight - there's nature, culture and history to fill your senses and sight. It's a heavenly destination where you can choose to relax by the crystalline river, scale up the bewitching mountains or meet the ancient Dard-Shina tribe, explore their cute-little log houses, and watch the birds fly by.

Marvel At The 500-feet high artificial waterfall

But wait, there's more! Gurez Valley is not just about natural wonders; it's also about man-made ones. The administration plans to build a 500 feet high artificial waterfall that will take your breath away. Imagine watching the water cascade from Khandyal Heights, a spot that gives you a panoramic view of Dawar town. And if that's not enough, you can also enjoy a park that will be developed opposite the site. How cool is that?

Explore the hidden gems of Gurez Valley

Gurez Valley is full of surprises and secrets. Many places are yet to be known to tourists that are worth visiting. One such place is Sheetal Bagh, where two rivers from different countries meet.

It's rare to see the waters of Kabul Gali from Afghanistan and Neelum from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) converge harmoniously. The floriculture department is working on creating a park there to make it more inviting and attractive.
