Gold coast is a beautiful holiday destination on the east coast of Australia. I went there for 4 days with my husband in April of this year and had an amazing time. Here is the list of things we did and would recommend anyone planning to visit Gold Coast:
Our stay: Novotel Hotel ( 2 nights); Watermark Hotel ( 2 nights). Both of these hotels are very close to surfers paradise beach.
To move around: You can rent a self-drive car (Pick & drop at the airport) or use a "go card" to take a tram/bus for an unlimited travel @ AUD10 per day.
Day 1: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
It's a great place for animal lovers. You can hold a Koala or sit around with Kangaroos and create some wonderful memories of a lifetime. The Sanctuary has a lovely train to show you around. Please do wear comfy shoes because you will need to walk a lot.

Day 2: Harbour Town & Warner Bros. Movie world
After shopping, we went to ' Warner Bros. Movie world ' which is a movie related theme park where you can meet your favorite movie characters and can enjoy rides. Please do not miss the "Main Street Parade" because you will get a chance to see all the characters and take some pictures with them .

You can get some discounted tickets around surfers paradise area. Also if you want to visit other theme parks a combined pass could turn out to be cheaper.
Day 3: Dreamworld & The Star Casino
After a well spent day at the theme park, at night we went to "The Star" Casino, a fun place to take a seat and enjoy a drink with a few games of blackjack, 3 card poker, roulette and many more.
Day 4: Surfers Paradise Beach & Pacific Fair Shopping Centre
If you want to enjoy the night life at Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise is the place with all the action. We are not the party animals but we did visit this lively place at night time on our last day and loved it.

Our 2nd day, we went to "Harbour Town" which is Australia's largest outlet shopping center where you can buy branded stuff at good price and there are several restaurants where you can get great food options of your choice.

We started our 3rd day with a visit to "Dreamworld", which is Australia's largest theme park. You can move around in a train, take some thrilling rides, have fun holding a Koala and watch the some great shows - Please do not miss the "Tiger Show'" and the "Sheep Shearing Show".

The last day, we started our morning from 'Surfers Paradise' Beach and spent some quality time relaxing at the beachfront. In the afternoon we spent a few hours at ' Pacific Fair ', a great shopping center at Broadbeach.
