Hey Rhea! I can tell you about Srinagar. Reach Srinagar on day 1 and cover the local places Dal lake, boating in Naveen lake, Bhat Chasm-e-shahi, Mughal garden, etc. Next day you can cover Pahalgam. It will take one entire day. The next day you can consider going to Gulmarg as you might see snowfall there. Gulmarg must be covered with snow and Ski will be open for public. It is must visit place if you are planning to visit now. Do reach out for more info. Keep Travelling!

Hey RC, Take a mini-tempo from Murudeshwar to Honnavar. Then take a local bus from Honnavara to Jog falls ( 2 hours journey). Buses run every hour from Honnavar. Happy travelling!!!!!

But between Portland, OR and San Francisco is a 10hr freeway drive, slower if you take a coastal route. San Francisco Bay Area - great natural beauty, great food, and cultural organizations, wine tasting. Salinas - Museum devoted to John Steinbeck. I must suggest you to stay in RIshikesh and you will find swargasharam trust...you will find accommodation between the range of 200 and 1000 per day...plus you can go to neelkanth and so many other places... you just need to take auto from haridwar to rishikesh...journey will take 2-3 hours depending on traffic and fare is below 150

Hey Avik, Yes, it remains open in winters. AnswerWishlistBook a train from Chennai to New Jalpaiguri station. It is a 40-47 hours journey. (If flights available at an affordable price then flight can be an option to get rid off from this hectic journey of 44h) or you can cover it with a break journey. From New, Jalpaiguri takes a bus to Phuentsholing. Buses are run by Bhutan Government also and cost around 150 Rs. It takes around 5-6 hours to reach Phuentsholing from New Jalpaiguri. Once in Phuentsholing, you are technically in Bhutan. If you want to reach Thimphu you can take another bus for 100-200 Rs more. The buses leave early in the morning. So the net cost for traveling from Delhi to Bhutan(excluded Chennai to Delhi)comes out to be anywhere between 750- 1050 Rs depending on whether you want to go to Thimphu or just enter Bhutan and travel along the border.
