Hey Devi, The main thing in Kashmir is road trips (Srinagar->Pahalgam and Srinagar -> Gulmarg). Both places have their own charm. A trip to Kashmir is incomplete without visiting Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Spend at least one night at the houseboat in Dal Lake in Srinagar. Happy travelling!!!
Actually, there are several places to visit in Pahalgam. Aru valley A must visit and picture perfect place in Pahalgam. 12km away from the town of Pahalgam, it was mostly 30mins journey to Aru Valley. A breathtaking beauty between the way Pahalgam and Aru Valley. The place is surrounded by meadows, peaks, a whisper of pine and valley and a clear blue canopy over the head.
Chandanwari You can go to chandanwari from Aru Valley which is situated a distance of 16km away from the town of Pahalgam. Chandanwari is famous for Amarnath Yatra which begins by the end of June or July and continues until the end of August. The distance between Amarnath and Chandanwari is 32km. Betab Valley which is located on the way to Chandanwari. This place got the name from the Bollywood movie ‘Betab’ that was shot there. Betaab valley is one of the perfect places of mother nature where you can enjoy the heavenly pleasure. Good Luck!!

A lot of places can be covered in a decent budget of 5k. Depends on which part of India you are residing it - you can visit the places nearby or at an overnight distance. Try travelling by bus or a sleeper train to reach to your destination. For accomodation you can look out for homestays/hostels. If keen carry along some food as well along with you so that you don't spend much on food related expenses. For example - Bangalore to Hampi can be covered under 5000/person if you go by train , stay in hostels and explore the city on foot or mopeds. Alternatively - whichever part of India you are in , you can refer to sites like https://www.plantheunplanned.com/ or something similar . They offer pre-defined packages on a per-person basis on a very reasonable cost . Also its fun to sometimes explore these options and meet new people/friends :) Hope this was helpful .
For me, it is McLeod Ganj or Tirthan Valley. Nope, it's not Mussoorie, Nainital or Shimla. These places have been messed up by the commercialization and I simply hate that but can't do anything about it other than not throwing waste on the mountains and bringing it back to the plains to dump it.
Now why McLeod? Because this place has pleasant weather even in summers. There is the right amount of commercialization there because of the Tibetans and peace-loving people there. You can also find various activities like trekking, paragliding and visit Kangra fort.
Happy Travelling!!
You can pretty much manage everything in Rs.1000 a day in Spiti. As Dec will be off-season prices for hotels will be lowest so you can get a good deal. I would not suggest you travel directly to Kaza from Shimla. You can spend a day in between at Kalpa.
As Rohtang pass is closed due to heavy snowfall so you have to take Shimla to Kaza via Tabo.
Happy Travelling!!
Hey Pradipan, Best and most scenic route to reach Spiti Valley is via Manali. You can also do a round trip: Manali->Spiti Valley->Shimla. Best time to visit Spiti is from June -September as road via Manali remains closed in the rest of the months but you can visit via Shimla in winters. Hope this would help you. Happy travelling!!!
Hey Yasmin, Same was happening to me also until I mailed them about the issue. I didn't get the reply of mail but I got credit points of my blogs. So try to mail them. Happy blogging!!!
On the top, No during winter season you have to take our own tent and pitch it for the night as long as you get a permit from Shamshi Forest Department located just 2km From Bhuntar.
Another option is to do a day hike to Kheerganga and stay in the village just below called Kalga. Kalga is a beautiful small village with a few lovely guesthouses. We stayed one night in Kalga before our trek at a guest house called Gypsy House, it was Rs250 including food.
Happy Travelling!!
Hey RD, If you are importing your own blog into your Tripoto profile it doesn't count as a plaigarised content .... Only if you have copied content and then create a blog of urs, thats called plaigarism... Happy Blogging !!!
Tripo helps people to wander about the places we can go, so it is not duplicate as it gives information about the place and attracts people to visit the place.
