Hi Tanmay, Himachal Pradesh is going through some government face-lifting. Hotels, campsites and restaurants have been shut down in Malana and Kheerganga. I'd advice you look at alternate options in Himachal like Dharamshala/McLodganj, Kinnaur Valley or Spiti Valley. July and August are monsoon months in Himachal. Therefore, it is best to wait till September.
Hi Naini, following four buses that leave from Majnu Ka Tilla at 10:30: Northern Travels, City Land Travels, Asian Volvo Holiday, My Trip Maker. All of them are AC buses and take about 12 to 13 hours to reach Manali. Asian Volvo Holiday is an exception as it takes 16 hours to reach Manali.
Following cities have some of the best 4th of July fireworks: New York City, Washington DC, San Diego, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Addison (Texas) and Nashville.
Hi Arjun, The entire European continent is filled with wonders. What time of the year are you planning to visit and what are some of travel interests? Do you like nature, beaches, old cities, history, adventure, wine and food or something else? I can give suggestions based on time of the year and interests.
Rajasthan has a own charm in moonson season. every place depend upon your taste u can visit. but udaipur is the best . udaipur is the city of lake and also know as "Venice of the earth ". you can visit sajjan garh palace, taj lake palace and city palace too. you can feel refresh air which hive u refreshment in your life.
Hi Jay, Udaipur, the City of Lakes is an absolute beauty after the rains. Lake Pichola is bubbling with water. Sajjangarh Palace, also known as Monsoon Palace, is surrounded by greenery. Even the surrounding hills are clad in green. A 3-day trip is ideal of Udaipur as it gives you two days to explore attractions in and around Udaipur and one day to visit Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain Temple.
Hi Aditi, you will have to spend a night in Srinagar and Kargil each. If you arrive in Srinagar early morning then you might be able to find transportation to Kargil. You can visit Pangong and Nubra on day trips from Leh. The travel time (both ways) to both places is close to 11 hours. If you don't want to travel for so long in a single day then I recommend you stay in Nubra Valley and around Pangong for a night each. Staying at these places will surely add to your experience.
Hey Aditi ,
From Srinagar to Leh book your hotels ... The journey ahead Leh have a lot of uncertainties and moreover there are a lot of camp stays in Nubra and Pangong . If you are lucky(water level is favourable for crossing across shyok river) you can go from Nubra to Pangong or vice versa directly too ... have a great trip
Hi Ashish, Great Lakes Trek is an absolutely stunning trek filled with green meadows, glacial rivers and snowclad mountains. The trek begins at Shitkadi, which is a few kilometres ahead of Sonamarg and takes about eight days. Since you only have five days, I recommend starting in Naranag which can be reached by private taxi from Srinagar. You can also ask travel agents in Srinagar to arrange a 5-day Great Lakes Trek for you. You can find guides in Naranag to take you on the trek but it is better to go through Srinagar travel agents.
Hi Ananya, those are awesome destinations to visit together due to their close proximity. What month do you plan to go and for how many days? I can help you accordingly.
I hope you have made your trip. It would be helpful for travellers if you share the travel details:
1.Route

Happy travelling.
Hi Shilpi, yes there are accommodation options in Lachung. You can find hotels in Lachung here - https://www.tripoto.com/travel-guide/lachung/hotels. It is a better base to explore North Sikkim since it is 100km north of Gangtok. And, yes you will find travel agents in Lachung as well.
To cover the whole of North sikkim you need to stay both at Lachung and Lachen.... Lachung and Lachen are on two different ways from Chungthang.... From Lachung you go to Yumthang Valley and Katao.. And from lachen you go to Gurudongmar and Kala Patthar.... You can see this for a better outlook...

Hi Jayashree, that is an excellent road trip to explore some least-visited parts of Sikkim. Your route is perfect for this road-trip. I highly recommend you visit Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and do the Hilley Uttarey Trek to get views of four of the five highest mountains in the world. It is an easy trek with beautiful scenery.
You can do my itinerary as those are real offbeats of Sikkim.... But if you want certain places in North sikkim only... Then go for Katao... Its not that travelled
According to Section 43, "a motor vehicle may apply to any registering authority or other prescribed authority to have the vehicle temporarily registered in the prescribed manner and the registration should not exceed for more than one month and shall not be renewed." Therefore, you can legally ride on interstate highways as long as your temporary number plate is not older than 30 days. However, be wary of greedy cops who will make you believe otherwise in the expectation of a bribe.
Hi Priya, must see places in Udaipur are the City Palace, Lake Palace, Vintage Car Museum, Sajjangarh and Bagore Ki Haveli. I highly recommend the Bagore ki Haveli light and sound show and a sunset boat ride in Lake Pichola. If you have time, then take a day trip to Kumbhalgarh Fort and Ranakpur Jain Temple.
Udaipur known as City of sunrise. A beautiful city built around four lakes. The various places you must visit are
1) City Palace :- It is a luxurious palace in middle of water. It is royal architecture and interiors are stunning. 2) Lake Pichola :- It is a famous tourist spot. Boating during sundown is a beautiful experience.
3) Jag mandir :- Take a ferry to the heritage luxurious hotel and relish the dinner like a king or a queen. 4) Father Sagar and lake pichola: These lakes gives you the feel of Venice. They are two important lakes of the city. 5) Eklingji temple:- Its an ancient temple. Learn about the ancient stories and architecture 6) Bagore ki haveli :- They are known for cultural programs. Don't miss over the puppet shows in the evening. They are just wow. https://www.funstay.in/homestay-in-udaipur-rajasthan-india check out some awesome stay in Udaipur.
In July Mount Abu will be best. Its about 6 hours away from Udaipur. Otherwise all three locations are great for a 2-3 day trip during winters. Too hot now.
Hi Jay, Trisha is right, all three cities will be too hot right now. Although, if you are flexible with the dates then I'd say wait for the first rainfall and then visit Udaipur. The City of Lakes is an absolute beauty after the rains. If you are not flexible then Mt. Abu, Polo Forest and Dang Forest are cooler alternatives.
