Hey Vysh, On the whole, May to October makes for the only time one can reach Spiti without a lot of hassles. However, the months of July to September usually bring about torrential rains in the Spiti Valley so a lot of roads end up being blocked due to landslides. Make sure you read up well on the weather conditions if you're planning a trip in August. Hope you have a great trip! :)

Spiti itself will be more or less dry. Its the approach - through Manali/Shimla - where you will experience rains.

Hi Arti, Preparations for the Puri Rath Yatra start about four to months prior to the actual festival. Since the artisans are almost at the finalising stage of making the raths by July, you will only be able to see the raths being decorated. The entire process of making and decorating the process happens right outside the Jagannath Temple so head there to catch all the action. Hope you have a great trip! :)

Hi Rupam, Dehradun and Rishikesh are disabled friendly cities near Haridwar. Avoid hill stations like Mussoorie as you can't take a car on the major streets and there are stairs on every nook and corner. Hope you have a great trip! :)

Hi Khyati ! Beas Kund is a lake which is the origin of Beas River. The trek begins from Solang Nallah and Dhundi and Bakarthach will be a part of your trail on this trek. You'll have views of Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak and Shitidhar. You'll also find the Beas Kund Glacier on the way towards Beas Kund. It is a perfect choice for beginners because of it's short duration and easy difficulty level. Some useful information :- Trek from Solang Nala to Bakrathatch is 13 Kms Trek from Bakrathatch to Beas Kund is 3 Kms

Hi Arti, Sikkim is undoubtedly one of the best places to set off solo in the country. Just the vast number of experiences it offers coupled with the fact that it is extremely safe to venture out alone, makes Sikkim an absolute must visit for every solo traveller. Hi jothi jayakumari, To be honest, the entire North-Eastern region is too vast to be covered in five days. It is best advisable to pick one state and travel through the same across the duration of your trip. Sikkim and Meghalaya make for the top picks for someone visiting this part of the country. Here are a couple of trips that might help you out in planning a five day trip to these states: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/things-to-do-in-sikkim-tourism-itinerary https://www.tripoto.com/trip/a-5-day-guide-to-witnessing-the-best-of-meghalaya-s-beauty-59e3b2ff3aeab Hope you have a great trip! :)

I would suggest Sikkim. It is cool at this time of the year, and also a very safe state to visit, compared with some of the other states. It has splendid sites & a paradise for a nature lover. You could plan your itinerary around Gangtok. That's the best you can do in 5 days!

Except D-2, it looks fine. Try and curtail activity on D2. Include Tegalallang Rice fields & Tegenungan Water falls. You may skip Goa Gajah & Monkey Forest in my view. For detailed planning and places you may watch this- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLd0DREjXWaLZYVu-A27wShBEpRuVg2Srp

Hi Bhavik, Since hiring private cabs in the remote Spiti Valley can get quite expensive, opting for public transport is indeed the way to go! No its not at all worth buying. You can easily get better properties online while booking. Also the maintainance fees for steering is also too high.

Avoid it..specially when you have so many options available to choose like Hotels,Resorts,Camps,Airbnbs and hostels...

Kochi, Munnar and Alappuza are three best places to visit in Kerala. In Kochi you can visit - Fort Kochi: It is a water bound region. - Mattacherry Palace: It is a beautiful palace built by Portuguese - Cherai Beach: Do some swimming, spot dolphins and collect some beautifull shells - St Francis Church: It was the first church built by Europeans in India. Munnar is known for its sincerity. https://www.funstay.in/homestay-in-munnar-kerala-india You can stay in beautiful homestay in admits greenery. Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, Anamudi and the blossom international park are few popular tourist spots in Munnar. Enjoy in the house boat at Alappuzha.
