You can visit any of the places mentioned above though, I'd say Darjeeling .... Darjeeling has a chilly winter and is quite enjoyable for those looking for peace.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
If you love snowfalls, you should definitely visit gangtok n Darjeeling. If you want to go to meghalaya, I would suggest you to go in august-october or march-april.

Cost depends upon the choice of place you prefer to Stay, Mode of Transport and places you would love to visit. If your choice is good resorts having private beach or otherwise with advance booking you will get it easily from Rs.5000 per night onwards, normal decent hotels & Airbnb homes cost you above Rs.1000 and if you are solo and prefer hostels you will get the same for Rs. 400 to Rs.800 per night. You can easily rent scooter for Rs.300 per day and taxis i find is costly in Goa and they charge depends upon places of visit. Prefer South Goan beaches as they less crowded, beautiful and pocket friendly.

In northeast, you can visit meghalaya. here u can visit shillong, cherrapunji, dawki, jowai, laitlum. These palces are hilly areas. They will bring you closer to the nature. second, you can consider travelling to sikkim. If you a snow lover, visit in the months between december to march. It gives us the opportunity. to enjoy the raw beauty of nature which is not disturbed by the development and technology. Third, u can travel to arunachal pradesh. there are a lot of moanastrys, one of which is golden pagoda. This moanastry is worth travelling. there is a big resort attached to the moanastry. you can go to Itanagar. Forthly , u can travel to nagaland. The dzokua velley is worth watching. U should go there at the time of hornbill festival. It takes place during december.

Allepey boat house is totally not worth it - unless you rent one of the really luxurious ones. Usually a 3 hour stroll on the lake is worth money for around 900 - 1000 rs. ( you can bargain ) - there are also govt run services by the name of see kuttanad which costs 80rs for a to and fro 4 hour ride. I would strongly suggest you to visit Munnar since the climate will be absolutely beautiful out there & you can spend your time lazing out on the tea gardens/resorts itself. For thekkaday if looking to do the safari - do book online & save the hassle of standing up in the queue for tickets. In Allepey if you are looking out for massage - you can try Visrutha Ayurveda Chikitsalayam , we had been with family & it costed around 2.5k for a 3 hour session which was absolutely worth it. Please note that you would be required to strip almost naked in the massage session which is true even for the ladies - just an heads up !

Yes, it's safe to stay in boat house . I have been to both alleppey and kumarakom boat house . you get good and typical kerala style food of your preference and get to see some small village site seeing if you like to .

This was my first visit to Pushkar Camel Fair this year and I was left speechless witnessing this extravaganza. It was huge this year with thousands of camels and very large number of horses as well. I am a hobby photographer and this provided me with the best photo opportunities. All the locals including tiny children know that photographers from across the globe come there for photography and thus, they are tuned to ask for money at a drop of a hat. It is best to go there with lots of change (Rs. 10, 20). It is also wise to ask them if one can take a picture. A great place, a great spectacle awaits you. Typically it would be held in the month of November every year. A must visit, witness fair for sure....!!

The camel fair is the most awaited event in Pushkar! It is an exciting affair that takes place each year but continues to receive thousands of travellers as guests. It is one of the best cultural events in Rajasthan to get insight into the local traditions. Read the following articles on Tripoto to get an idea about the fair.
