Hello Achint, I'll be happy to answer your travel queries from my experience ☺️. *It depends on how you are planning to go. By air, train and road taking into consideration of fooding and lodging expenditure. The fooding and lodging is not very cheap with an estimate of atleast Rs. 1000/ head a day minimum. If you have your own bikes and tents then the price maybe cheap but the fooding will still be expensive if you eat out. If you reach by air or train or road to Guwahati, you'll find vehicles to take you to Arunachal in the Guwahati airport. Make sure to book everything beforehand. Tawang is a far reached place even for local Arunachalees. *Hiring a Tata Sumo from Tejpur to Tawang will cost you about ₹8000 one way for 5–6 persons. For going to BUMLA near China border you have to hire a local taxi which will cost you about ₹4000–5000. Min room charges excluding food will be in the rg of 1500–2000 minimum. So if you are going in a group than min ₹ 3000 must be catered for per day per head. If you keep vehicle for the whole duration of your stay in Tawang which either hired from Guwahati or Tejpur, it will cost you approximately 4000 per day even if it stays idle in Tawang. *It is famous for its 400-year-old monastery. This monastery is one of the biggest Buddhist monasteries to be found in India and is an important pilgrim center for the followers of Buddhism. Apart from its religious importance, Tawang is famous for its natural beauty, which attracts and enchants the traveler. * I have a small suggestion for you, I just checked online and found that there are some great travel deals for Tawang available at tripoto itself, do check out this link https://www.tripoto.com/Tawang/tour-packages HAPPY TRAVELS 😊

Hi, Chandigarh is the closest major railway station which is 265 km away. Private buses are available from Chandigarh which will take you till Aut on Chandigarh to Manali route but in a much longer time as compared to a private cab from Chandigarh to Jibhi. Stay Options at Jibhi This impromptu visit to Jibhi turned into absolute delight when we landed at Jibhi Inn Cottage, a humble 2 bedroom home-stay right in the middle of the village. It is located on the bank of the river and has a beautiful backyard full of apple trees. From the terrace and balcony of the house, one can see the entire valley stretched leisurely. Besides the tranquil surroundings and a splendid view, Jibhi Inn Cottage offers a very comfortable stay along with basic amenities. The rooms are clean, decently furnished, with hot water geyser, a room heater, and very warm beddings – befitting the climate. Our host, Hansraj, and his family were extremely hospitable and took care of everything that we needed. Food Delight Nearby Almost all of the accommodations in Jibhi are run by local families. If you are a food enthusiast, request your hosts to make some of the regional dishes. My fondest memory of Jibhi is staying with our hosts and eating local delicacies with their family. Sitting by the riverside in sub-zero temperature we enjoyed some authentic Himachali dishes prepared by the lady of the house. On our request, she readily agreed to cook Siddu, which is a stuffed bread, native to Himachal and popular in the northern and eastern Himachal region. It tastes best when served with homemade ghee or clarified butter, dal or lentil soup and green chutney. Himachali food, Siddu, Trout and Jungli Chicken Next dish on the platter was the Jungli Chicken or Forest Fowl. Travelers who are not used eating this variety of chicken should consume it in small quantities at first because it gets a little difficult to digest. Thanks to our host who warned us in advance about this. Going to this part of Himachal and not eating Himalayan Trout is sacrilege. A fresh catch was made during the day by an accomplice of our host, which was later cooked to perfection in Himachali style for dinner. Calling it delicious will be an understatement. You have got to experience it to know how heavenly it was. For your info I have also attached a perfect article on Jibhi. Please click on the card to read a Tripoto Traveler's experience. Thanks!

Hi Aishwariya. Yercaud is an idyllic place and will make for a beautiful trip. Here are a few places you can visit: Yercaud Lake Though this is not offbeat, you must make a stop at Yercaud Lake. With sweeping views of hills and lush green lawns, the idyllic lake is the perfect place to spend a few relaxed hours. Make sure you take a boat ride to soak in the serene surroundings. You can also take a trip to Deer Park, which is near the lake, to spot deers, peacocks, hamsters and other lovely animals. Bear's Cave If caving is more your thing, head to Bear’s cave. These caves were believed to house bears but don’t worry, those bears seem to have moved long ago! Kiliyur Waterfall Another place you’ll probably fall in love with is the Kiliyur waterfall. It’s set amidst lush green plantations and has a drop of 300 ft. Sit before the waterfall to feel the cool spray of water on your face. It’s a bit of a slippery hike to get there so make sure you’re wearing shoes that have good surface grip. Ladies' Seat The Ladies’ Seat is a good place to witness a panoramic view of the Shevaroy hills as well as the town of Salem. Get some hot tea and bhajjis that are available nearby and perch on a rock formation to enjoy them while treating your eyes to the scenery in front. Loop Road Make sure you go for a drive on Loop Road that spans across 32 kilometres. The road is smooth, making it perfect for a drive and is studded by coffee plantations on both sides. It goes through vistas of glorious hills and valleys and you can stop by roadside eateries for some local cuisine if you get hungry. Now let’s get down to the best eateries there. Sweet Rascal Head to Sweet Rascal for its colonial style bungalow and romantic ambience. The menu is extensive and the food is great but you must call and make reservations beforehand. The Altitude Kitchen and Bar The Altitude kitchen and bar overlooks the Shevaroy hills. It is open air and perfectly dreamy. You should go there at night for some stunning views. Karuppaiya Chettinadu restaurant Karuppaiya Chettinadu restaurant serves some of the best chicken fry around. You’ll definitely call for a second helping. Hope this helps and have a wonderful trip!

If you want to stay at the top of the Kasol to enjoy splendid view of himalayas you can go for 11 /11 Bunker House. But you hav to hike about 15 min to reach . Bt it is worth to enjoy the majestic view of himalays in calm and quite atmoshohere with full of greenery, mountains and clouds. And it is quite cheap for the backpackers.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
I would suggest to stay in Kalga Village at Shankar Cafe which is 1 hour away from Kasol. It really a beautiful place sorrounded by Lush Green Forest and Beautiful View of Himalayas. Kasol is now overrated and overpriced and more of a commercial place.

Hi Vishnu, Faroe Islands has been on my bucket list for so long, excited to see that you're planning a trip there. This archipelago is fairly elusive and located between Denmark and Norway (although it comes under the Kingdom of Denmark). A major reason why the islands remain exclusive is the super expensive flight ticket! If you're already in Norway or Denmark, then getting to Faroe Islands is not so expensive, however, if you're flying to and fro India, expect to spend about 1 lakh+ per person on flights. I have researched about the islands and even written about the best places you must visit in Faroe Islands. You can click this link for more: https://www.tripoto.com/trip/move-over-iceland-a-trip-to-faroe-islands-is-zooming-right-into-our-bucket-lists-5ad847416fc05 Hope this helps :) Have a happy trip!

Hi Vishnu, Located roughly halfway between Norway and Iceland, the Faroe Islands are made up of 18 rocky, volcanic islands in the wild North Atlantic. They technically are an autonomous part of Denmark – meaning they use the Danish Krone and are officially “part” of Denmark according to the UN – but they feel worlds away from the bustling streets of Copenhagen. In fact, the total population of the Faroe Islands is only about 50,000. It is a place definitely worth visiting. Do take a look at what a traveler on Tripoto experienced while travelling to Faroe Islands. Hope this helps
