Hi Tanmay, monsoon is the best time to explore places around Pune. Following places are best to visit right now: Thosegar Falls, Tapola, Bhimashankar, Karnala and Kamshet. Kolad, Kalsubai Peak and Malshej Ghat are more than 100km away from Pune but they are worth visiting. For more options, read the attached article.
Hi Tanmay! If you're in Pune during Monsoon, then It's heaven and you'll have plenty of options.
To feel the touch of adventure :- You can try numerous trekking sites/forts in Lonavala area or Nagar area such as Kalsubai or Harishchandragarh
If you just want to enjoy driving through scenic roads surrounded by waterfalls, then you can head to Malshej Ghat, Bhor Ghat or Tahmini Ghat. You can take a look on this as well:- https://www.tripoto.com/trip/malshej-ghat-a-trail-through-waterfalls
If you like relaxing in some hill statation then, head to Mahabaleshwar, Matheran or Lonavala-Khandala
If you are planning to chill at beaches, then drive to Diveghar or Kashid Beach through scenic roads of Konkan. I personally recommend the trekking option as you can chose from huge range of treks from easy to difficult grade and can see the nature and monsoon at its fullest.
Hi Vaisakh, it will take you two to three days to reach Leh from Delhi depending on how long you drive for. You can spend the first night in Manali and second in Jispa. Reserve five days for Leh and surroundings. The places to visit in and around Leh are Nubra Valley, Turtuk, Pangong Lake, Khardung-La Pass and Hemis. For your return trip you can either backtrack the same way you came or go via Srinagar. Places to visit in and around Srinagar are Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Gulmarg and Sonmarg.
If you're interested in checking out few other places on the way to leh,let me know. Otherwise the previously given responses are the one's you should follow
Go to leh and pangong lake. It's best season to go there as everywhere it'll be raining but leh will be exquisite with it's beauty. And if you have more days you can cover markha valley.
Enveloped in the beauty of the Sahyadri range, a part of the Western Ghats, Mahabaleshwar is one of the most romantic places in India, especially in the monsoon. Foggy roads, pitter -patter of rains, lush greenery, clouds that descend the mountain tops and more, make it breathtaking. Pratapgad is charming to explore as the tales of the olden days reverberate in the very air. Lingamala waterfalls, fed by rains make a truly captivating sight. The panorama is surreal from the Elephants Head Point.
Auli is an awesome placr to visit that place have an awesone view which you will enjoy and its trek is also nice! But some where group of 40 member will be a problem so make it all neccesary arrangement
I am a Nikon user so I'll suggest you to buy D5300 or D5600 . These are the best choices under 50k. But these are quite bulky , so if you want it for travelling purpose then you should go for mirroless sony cams. They are little expensive. Recently Canon launched a mirroless camera which costs around 58k . Reviews are quite good for that . Rumours are there that Nikon is also going to launch 2 mirroless cameras. Make your decision accordingly.
Happy Clicking
Its a good time to visit. The weather is amazing with temperature of 5-10deg in afternoon to - 5-10deg at night. Go before the highway closes. U cnan take the route via manali or leh
Hi Vinay, Winter, October to February is the best time to visit Dandeli. It is best to avoid Dandeli during the monsoon months that is from July to September due to heavy rainfall.
Winter season is the best season for a visitto Dandeli. The months when Nagpur isideal for a trip for the October - February. Summers are also nice for a visit, the climate being moderate throughout theseason. The monsoons, however, are the least advisable time for a trip.)
You can cover Kutch and Rajasthan in 7 days. Since Monsoons have begun in both the states, the weather would be good to travel and enjoy. Even a 7-day trip covering Kerala would be a good choice. Wish you a safe trip!
I have read an interesting blog about Lavassa - a sort of town near Pune with mesmerizing views. During my stay in Mumbai I visited the less traveled Mlsej Ghats, the place where the movie Raavan was shot. It was outstanding. Do visit if you haven't already
Hi Rajat,
It is more than okay to use your pictures at multiple platforms including Tripoto, as long as the content is your own you can choose to borrow it from your blog posts and publish it here. Just make sure no content is plagiarized, 'cause that'd be uncool! Your own photos and blog content are totally cool though. Happy blogging!!
Hi Sanjita, Northern lights (aurora or polar lights) are a phenomena occurring predominantly in the high latitude regions, mostly spotted in the winter months. Generally speaking, October to February are the best months to visit any of these places for experiencing this beauty, and Iceland and Norway are the most popular places to see them. I'm attaching an article on Northern Lights which will give you a better insight on your timing and options.

September is the month just before Durga Puja. For 1-3 days you can visit Lepchajagat which is in North Bengal to have a wonderful experience of Bengal along with greeny hills.
I don't think it's a good time. I've a friend from Kerala and got to know situation is quite bad (specially Munnar). It got so bad that they had to close down the airport for certain time!
