April to Oct is best time to go. if you are planning now it is best as after Oct it becomes too cold and few places like lake and garden can't be visited. Srinagar house boat book it there itself. If you are planning for gulmarg please book gondola tickets beforehand as if you try to book on spot you have to wait in huge queue. Other places are Pahalgam,Sonmarg (zero point),Sinthan.
Hi Charan, you can take a bus from Jammu to Srinagar. There are plenty of places to see in Srinagar. Dal Lake, Shalimar and Nishad Bagh, Hazratbal Mosque and Shankaracharya Temple. Popular places around Srinagar are Sonmarg, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. If you want an offbeat experience head to the tiny hamlet of Naranag. More information about which you will find in the attached article.

Hi Pratyay, excellent choice. That part is one of the most scenic parts of West Bengal. Start your trip in Kalimpong. Spend a couple of days exploring Kalimpong. Visit Zong Dog Palri monastery, Cactus Nursery and Deolo Hill. On the third day, visit the mountain villages of Lava and Rishop. Both villages are a delight for nature lovers and bird watchers and can be covered in a day. On the fourth day, visit Lolegaon, a beautiful Lepcha village of scenic splendour. There you can take the canopy walk, visit the Eco Park and look for Kanchenjunga from the Jhandi Dara viewpoint. On your fifth and last day, visit Sillery Gaon and its main attractions: Damsung Fort, Ramitay View Point and Silent Valley.
I generally shortlist the stays that are closer to each other and book the best one on reaching the place. This approach is a little risky and cannot be done if travelling with family as sometimes it might not be available when u reach. Luckily I haven't had any hard luck.
Hi, I would suggest to first find a place where you can stay for cheap or even volunteer and stay for free. Try places in the mountains or in the South of India, where you can live with locals.
Go on shoestring budget trips. Take up volunteering jobs so that stay becomes free. Use couchsurfing. Travel to the cheaper destinations. Always use local transport.
Just start without thinking too much.start your blog with your past travel expirence . and then plan ...travel...write... I think you will get your own way to pursue your passion as a career. be positive and have patience ..best of luck
Instead of you going to abroad, you can start from Northeast India and it's like a foreign country only.. For sample like Scotland, Switzerland. You can start Sikkim to Darjeeling to Assam to Meghalaya to Arunachal to Manipur to Kolkata to Delhi to Himachal to Rajesththan to South India. For more details ping me
Hi Manas, average accommodation cost for three people is Rs. 2,100 per night. Food cost per person is about Rs. 300 for three meals a day. So, that comes out to be Rs. 1,000 per person per day. Add the cost of petrol based on your car mileage and number of miles you will travelling and you will get your approximate total cost per head per day. Multiply that by the number of days you going to spend in Meghalaya and you have total cost of the trip per head.

The Hampta Pass is a grand trek for any season. And the Hampta Pass is open to trekking for more months in the year than our other treks like the Roopkund, Rupin Pass or Goecha La. There is a simple reason for this: Hampta Pass, at 14,500 feet, is at a lower altitude.
The special thing about the mid June attempt on the Hampta Pass is the snow. The amount of snow that you will see on Hampta Pass will make you believe that you are in the Arctic. It has also got to do with the terrain. Most treks that we conduct are over very open valleys like the Rupin Pass or the Roopkund. The Hampta Pass, on the other hand, is a crossing that starts out in a narrow valley and stays that way until the very end, when we descend at Chatru. The narrowness of the valley accentuates the gathering of the snow. In mid June, you will find the first patches of snow, even on Day 1, lining the sides of the valley walls. On Day 2, as you climb through the Jwara meadows, snow patches start increasing they are everywhere and almost immediately, you hit the first snow bridges over the Rani Nalla. That day, when you camp at Balu-Ka-Gera, you are on a wide river bed with snow mounds rising all around you. The temperature drops. Quick acclimatization climbs on the snow patches around the camp make for perfect preparation for your next days adventure of the Hampta Pass crossing. The next morning, just as you step out of the Balu-Ka-Gera campsite, the Rani Nalla disappears under you under a vast snow bridge. It reappears briefly as it widens to a flat bed of clear water in fact, your last water source to go under snow and ice never to be seen again. It is strange to think that a good part of your trek to the Hampta pass is actually over a snow glacier on the Rani Nalla. for more detail visit - https://indiahikes.com/why-hampta-pass-is-a-superb-trek-for-mid-june/
