Diving From the Dreams into the Reality #SkyDiving #TravelGoal

After all the research, I finally got to know that Skydive Dubai is the agency through which one can do Skydiving.There are different options you can book on the website. Either you can go for Tandem or Solo Skydiving and you can also choose from two different dropzones, either at Palm Jumeirah Dropzone or Dubai Desert Dropzone. Accordingly the prices are also different for every option.

As the best view you could get over the Palm Jumeirah DZ, so I chose that and the total price for that was AED 2,199 including photos and videos. First, you have to book slots online on there website by paying advance fee of AED 999 and the rest you can pay on the slot date or jump date. I was very excited as I got the slot booked and nervous too as I was going to do something which I had seen in the videos only and people called it insane.

On the jump day, we went to the location and I was thrilled and nervous too. We clicked some photos there as the location was very beautiful. Then we entered into the registration area. I paid the remaining amount and then they checked my weight and height for their permissible limit. I passed that. They gave me some set of papers which was bond and undertaking and about medical conditions. Thankfully, I was not having any kind of illness or medical conditions but I was quite nervous and my heart was beating faster.

Then we went in the waiting area and sat there for my turn. After some time I could see my name was flashing on the screen and also announced. I got up and went to the area for getting ready for the gears and instructions. I got a very experienced instructor having more than 35 years of experience in the skydiving. He put my gears and harness and was also getting ready. Then he checked for the tightness and fitting of all the necessary things. After that he gave me instructions on what to do while on the plane, at the time of jump, at the time of free fall, parachute deployment and while landing. It went for about 15-20 mins. After that I went for my introduction and interview. A tall guy with a camera who would also come for the diving to take my video and photos asked me questions for my interview. And after that some more photos before going into the glider or plane.

I went inside the plane with my instructor and I saw some more skydivers sitting there with their instructors and cameraman. It was ready to take off and the gates were closed. The view was mesmerizing and you can see the whole dubai from up there. The water looked pure blue and the Palm jumeirah was looking exactly like a palm tree. It was a dream to be there and see the view.

Then after reaching the height of 13000 ft, my instructor checked once again all the things, gears, connected with his harness and gave me safety glasses. I was the first one to jump. My instructor told me to keep my eyes on the cameraman every time of the free fall for a good video (jokingly). Then the gate was opened and the air came inside with so much pressure that nothing could be heard. We came at the edge of the plane and I closed my eyes and got in the position to jump. My heart was beating faster and there was goosebumps all over the body. I got tickles in my stomach at that time. The sound of air was going through my ears.

And the counting started, 3...2...1... and first cameraman jumped and then me and my instructor. It was so synced as to get the best capture at the time of jump. You should be having a good timed jump in all of these kinds of adventurous activities/sports.

And as we jumped from the plane, I was having my eyes on the cameraman only. We made a lot of poses for the video. We were under the force of gravity and free falling. We were flying in the sky without wings and exploring it. I felt like a falcon which is the National Bird of UAE.

I was very excited and an adrenaline rush pumped into me. I was cheering, dabbing, making poses and lots of things in that free fall time. The free fall was lasted for 1 minute and my instructor deployed the parachute. My cameraman went down and left us as he had to get ready for the landing shots.

After the opening of parachute, it was worthy to see the full pictorial view of the Dubai city and Sea from above. I could see the Palm Islands, Dubai Marina, Burj Al arab and many other marvelous buildings and landscapes around. Me and my instructor were talking in between. He even gave me the handles of the steering lines attached to the parachute to control. I was controlling the parachute as it was coming down. It was the best feeling I can ever have.

I wanted the time to freeze at that moment and to feel the cool breeze around me. I did paragliding couple of times and parasailing too. But it was the best thing I can experience at that moment. You were controlling your parachute and going down watching the amazing views. And then we were slowly coming down and could see the things and people near as we were approaching them. So he reminded me again as what to do while landing so that it would be safe. I could see my cameraman standing there waiting for us to capture the landing. And in a few seconds we landed on the ground safely.

My instructor detached me from his harness and the cameraman came to me to know my experience and a little chat. I thanked my instructor and had some photos. Then we came back to the waiting area again where my family was waiting for me and I could just laugh with joy seeing them.

I can say, it was the best thing I have done in my life till now. I will cherish that experience for my whole life and will do it again if I get a chance. #Skydiving #TravelGoal
