Dubai is truly magnificent in terms of scenic beauty. The moment I landed at Dubai airport,there was this feeling of culture combined with modern era and richness to its core. Thrill for speed could be easily understood by the choice of cars one has here.
Our day started with check-in to hotel and getting a pass for local transport that includes bus and metro. After relaxing for a while we headed to our first spot Gold Souk.
Gold Souk:
We took metro to reach to the nearest station and walked a few metres to reach the market.
Market is full of traditional gold jewellery which are eye catching. Designs are very unique. We visited few shops looking for what we wanted to buy. Finally purchased it from Joyalukkas. In case you are not that much interested in gold jewellery you can skip this place.
We again boarded metro and reached our next destination.
Dhow Cruise:
It's a must have in your itinerary. It offers some spectacular view of city at night from the cruise.
We booked our tickets from Head Out app.Had our dinner while enjoying local traditional tanoura dance.
Next day we had our booking for Burj Khalifa,Dubai Aquarium, Underwater Zoo and Global Village.
We started for Burj Khalifa but ended up at a very beautiful Jumeirah beach. I was surprised by the combination of sand and sea this place has to offer.
It's near to Burj Al Arab.
After soaking in sun for a while we headed to the main attraction of Dubai Burj Khalifa.
Burj Khalifa:
We had booking for 124 and 125th floor. We reached there by going through some of the historic details about making of the world's tallest building.
View from the top is breathtaking. You can spend as much time as you want once you are on the designated floor. We looked around the city for an hour and headed to Aquarium and Underwater zoo.
Aquarium and Underwater Zoo:
One can see lot's and lot's of creatures there and blue all around is treat for eyes.
Fountain Show:
All these attractions are inside Dubai Mall so one need to walk alot. The fountain show is in almost every 20 minutes. The coordination of music,lights and fountain is a delight to watch.
After enjoying our day in Dubai Mall we headed to Global Village.
Global Village:
It gives you a glimpse of many places like India,Vietnam,Thailand,South Africa etc. One can visit inside all the countries and try out local food and have a look at the culture.
Also there were stage shows going on.
We kept entire day for Desert Safari and booked our tickets from Head out.
The captain picked us from hotel and headed for experience of lifetime.
That's a must to do if you don't have any back or neck problems.
We first went for biking in the sand dunes followed by safari in dunes and had dinner while watching performances like belly dance,zumba and fire show by local artists.
Headed back to Abu Dhabi.
