Hello Friends, I am Dharmveer Singh Deol from Amritsar, Punjab. Actually i am fond of traveling specially on bike. These images are from our recent tour to McLeod Ganj and Palampur.
Total distance from Amritsar to McLeod Ganj is near about 235 Km. We ( along with my wife ) leave Amritsar at 6 Am sharp. We leave early because there was rain in the morning and we heard that there is heavy rain in McLeod Ganj. We prepared for the worst and we also had some precaution such as Rain coats, Shoes Cover etc. We reached our destination at around 12.20 pm due to heavy traffic and rain.
I booked room in Hotel Wood Castle through OYO. That cost me 778 Rs for 1 night and that was a great deal because when we saw room that was totally wonderful. if you also looking for accommodate in a good hotel with huge window then you must contact Hotel Wood Castle McLeodGanj . We explored Dalai Lama Temple, Market, Bhagsu Naag, local shops for eating.
We had dinner at Macleo ( one of the most aged restaurant in McLeod Ganj ) and believe me guys it has wonderful atmosphere at the terrace and it is surely not harm your pocket. We ordered Fruit Salad with ice cream, Broccoli soup and Veg Chow mins and it cost us only 578 Rs.
We checked out from our hotel at around 7 Am to explore nearby ( Palampur ) . We had tea at Sonu Da Dhaba and then we move to our next destination . It is around 37 Km ( Palampur ) from Dharmshala As Google maps suggested we took Dharmshala - Yom - Palampur Road. It was dreamy road as its like that that goes to haven. Awesome untouched beauty, Clouds, Fog, River, tea gardens. As your drive on this road you can surely feels like you are wondering in Switzerland.
We reached palampur at 9.30 Am then we went to a tea estate to learn that how a leaf converted to tea. There was laborer in estate and they were collection leafs for production. They teach us how to cut leaves, how to collect and what is the post process. It was private estate that belongs to Infinitea Sports Club & Tea Garden Resort.
We visited the Infinitea Sports Club & Tea Garden Resort for testing the tea. there have a dedicated tea sell point in the resort and here we meet with Mr. Dinesh butail owner of Infinitea Sports Club & Tea Garden Resort. He is a great person and multi talented personalty. He own make tea for us and provide huge information about the process. We bought tea and leave palampur to Amritsar at around 11.30 Am .
