Himachal is the ultimate destination for adventure sports; Trekking through the Shivalik Range with beautiful trail surpasses the charm of all momentary pleasures. Among them The Saurkundi Pass Trek is one of the best show trek with some small a hiking trail in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, a state of northern India. The trek is an 9-day program and participants hike every day during the period. The trail starts at 15 Miles - the base camp, and passes through scenic spots in the Kullu valley.
Saurkundi Pass Trail offers an opportunity to enjoy the timeless beauty of Kullu valley with Segli, Maylee and Longa Thatch as the beauty spots. Its Base camp is famous for its cool and pleasant climate with tall pine trees. Daura Thatch can be literally called the small Sia-chin where one can experience the true challenge of nature in full fury of chilling spine cold nights. The splendid views of snowy peaks offer an endless feast to the eyes. Longa Thatch fascinates the trekkers with their sweet grasses, wild flowers and a variety of birds.

Day 1 : Reporting at base camp: 15 Miles
Day 2 : Acclimatization
Day 3 : Trek to Segli(7100ft) - 8kms
Day 4 : Trek to Hora Thatch (9000ft) from Segli - 10km
Day 5: Trek to Maylee Thatch (10500ft) from Hora Thatch - 9kms
Day 6 : Trek to Daura Thatch (11300ft) from Maylee Thatch - 10kms
Day 7 : Trek to Longa Thatch (10800ft) via Saurkundi Pass (12900ft) 12kms
Day 8 : Trek down to Lekhni (8,100 feet) from Longa Thatch - 10 Kms
Day 9 :Trek down to Alu Ground (Manali) Road head, transfer by bus to 15 Miles Base camp and enjoy.
Day1 - Reporting at base camp 15 Miles: 15 Miles (4000 feet) along Kullu- Manali highway, about 7 kilometers from Kullu, is the Base Camp. It is connected by road from Kullu, which in turn is connected with Delhi, Chandigarh and other cities of Punjab. Base camp is situated along the Beas river, with tall and old pine trees alongside the road
Day 2 - Acclimatization: this day was kept for orientation and acclimatization at base camp, which includes rappelling and rock climbing and a small one day trekking in the forests for a few kilometers with weight in the rucksack.
Day 3 - Way to Segli (7100ft): Segli is the 1st camp at 7,100 feet after trekking up for about 8 kilometers from a point a few kilometers from Manali on Kullu- Manali Highway by Bus). The camp is in an apple orchard and is surrounded by forests.
Day4 - Trek to Hora Thatch (9000ft) from Segli: We reached the next camp Haura Thatch (9,000 feet) after trekking for about 10 kilometres. The camp is in a dense forest where little light penetrates.
Day 5 - Trek to Maylee Thatch (10500ft): After 6 km of a difficult and tiring trek, the camp at Maylee Thatch (10,500 feet) is reached. Morning has magnificent views.
Day 6 - Trek to Daura Thatch (11300ft): After trekking for about 10 kilometers through the clouds and trekking on snow for the first time, we reach the next camp at Doura Thatch (11,300 feet). The day’s trek is a journey through the clouds.
Day 7 - Trek to Longa Thatch (10800ft) via Saurkundi Pass (12900ft): The next day’s trek is through the snow or alongside snow. We reached Longa Thatch (10,800 feet) after crossing Saurkundi Pass (12,900 feet). It is a trek of 12 kilometres via Saurkundi Pass.
Day 8 - Trek down to Lekhni (8,100 feet): After trekking another 10 kilometers mainly down-hill, the last camp site is at Lekhni (8,100 feet). It is situated alongside an apple orchard.
Day 9 - Back to Base: The final trek is downhill from Lekhni to Aalloo ground along the Manali-Kullu highway and from there by bus back to 15 Miles Base camp.
