The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – A Trip to Barot.

It rained whole night,had slight doubt about the journey,for we had already cancelled one of the destination due to bad weather. Anyway we started the journey early morning, from Mandi to a unknown place called Barot (68 km), only to stop at first Restaurant for a hearty breakfast.
As we took the interior road for Barot, the road was as usual in the mountains single Lanes with all the beautiful climbs and turn and magic happen. Got the vantage point and it was all wow. Got the glimpse of what laid head.
As we traveled we could see that fresh snow probably last night, among the tress our excitement grew with each turn gaining high and snow.
And lo! A complete transformation of the picture! A total white wash canvas! A view to cherish. Stopped at Tourist Rest stop.
Now v had entered snow land, right up to our destination River View Home Stay, rightly named so. We checked ourselves into a double room. The owner and his granny mother are kind and very generous person. Had a good lunch near market,hot meal with good taste definitely made the day. And very economical too.
Explored nearby looking for the Trout fish, which what Barot is famous for,but due to breeding period all the sale was closed. Had all the valley to ourselves to explore and to have fun. It's was just us and the valley.
Dinner was a affairs to remember and the moon with its silver light was something one can't explain it but has to feel it.
Any time if by any chance whenever it's possible we all would like to visit the place once again to the place called  "Barot the Wonderland".

Note the place is great for the Bird Photography too. Now you know why I called it wonderland!.
