One of the most popular tourist attractions in Tattapani are its natural hot water springs that gush out onto the banks of the river Sutlej. A dip in these sulphur springs is both relaxing and rejuvenating and the waters are also known to cure joint pains, skin diseases, stress and fatigue. Apart from its medicinal relevance, the waters are also considered auspicious and attract devotees who flock to Tattapani to take a holy dip.

The destination is an absolute delight for water sport enthusiasts owing to the wild and testing waters of river Sutlej. There are several rafting organisers on the banks who offer 5 km (Sunni to Tattapani), 12 km (Chabba to Tattapani) and 36 km (Pandowa to Tattapani) rafting routes. The routes are full of some exciting falls and rapids which are a treat to adventure lovers, while the scenic beauty of the Himalayas and the crystal clear waters will leave first-timers with an experience to cherish for a lifetime.

Tattapani also happens to be a trekking hotspot and the several trekking paths in the region make for some exciting experiences. The Dev Badeogi and Shali peaks are a favourite amongst trekkers visiting Tattapani and the Dev Badeogi temple at the top of the peak, which also happen to be the most ancient temples in the entire region. On the other hand, the peak of the Shali houses the ancient Maa Shali temple, and the dense forest of the hill makes for the perfect camping spot.

One of the newest attractions that has become an instant hit amongst tourists is the Adventure Park. The park is an ideal family picnic spot as one can enjoy great views while indulging in several adventure activities like commando net, flying fox, rope bridge and Burma bridge.

By Air: The closest airport to Tattapani is the Shimla airport which has daily to and fro flight from the national capital that costs approximately ₹4500. Once you get down at the airport, hire a local cab to get to Tattapani which is about 70km from the airport.

By Train: The closest railway station to Tattapani is Shimla. Once you get to the Shimla railway station, hire a cab to get to Tattapani in about two hours (55 km).

By Road: The NH 44 connects Delhi to Tattapani and it takes about 11 hours t cover the distance of 400 km.
