Whenever I need to travel and the prospect of a direct flight is not available, my enthusiasm for the journey tends to wane. However, with the introduction of new direct flights, we can seamlessly arrive at our dream destination in just a few hours! Whether you're looking to finalize your holiday plans before the year concludes or embark on a long weekend adventure in 2024, these five destinations stand out as the perfect choice!

New international direct flights from India

1. Delhi to Bali

Now you can fly directly from Delhi to Bali on Vistara on a daily direct flight which started on 1 December. The flight to Denpasar, Bali, will depart at 12.30am and land at 11.05am. The return flight to Delhi is scheduled for 12.10pm to 5.45pm (local time).

Ticket cost: A one-way ticket starts from Rs.40,000.

2. Hyderabad to Maldives

Travelling to Maldives just got easier as IndiGo has started direct flights between Hyderabad and the Maldives. The flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, whilst the flight is scheduled for 12:40 pm from Hyderabad and arrival in Malé at 2.50pm. Take the return flight from Malé which commences from 3.55pm and ends at Hyderabad airport at 6.45pm (local time).

Ticket cost: A one-way ticket starts from Rs.10,600.

3. Guwahati to Bangkok

Bankgkok has gotten a notch closer from the North East India's Guwahati. Fly with AirAsia directly to Thailand from Guwahati on non-stop flights. The flights will be available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Departing from Guwahati at 11.40pm and land at Don Mueang International Airport at 3.55am, the return flight from Bangkok to Guwahati will take off at 10.05pm and land at 11.10pm (local time).

Ticket cost: A one-way ticket starts from Rs.11,900.

4. Mumbai to Melbourne

Now you can take a direct flight to Melbourne even from Mumbai! Fly with Air India from Mumbai to Melbourne with flights starting from 15 December. Flights will take off thrice a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flight is scheduled for takeoff at 12.50am and for landing at Melbourne at 6.10pm. Whilst the return journey from Melbourne will begin at 8pm; the flight will land back in Mumbai at 2.35am (local time).

Ticket cost: A one-way ticket starts from Rs.29,800.

5. Mumbai to Uganda

Take a flight to Uganda with Uganda Airlines that has recently started a direct flight route between Mumbai and Entebbe, Uganda. Taking only five and half hours the flight runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, from 8am to 12.40pm (Mumbai to Uganda) and 8.25pm to 6.05am (Uganda to Mumbai) (local time).

Ticket cost: A one-way ticket starts from Rs.22,500.
