The Launch of Vande Bharat Express Train
The launch of Vande Bharat Express train will be launched formally by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 24 for a trial run. This trial run will be taken in the Kacheguda-Yesvantpur Vande Bharat express connecting two major tech cities – Hyderabad and Bengaluru at a maximum speed of 110 kmph.
In addition to the express train the ICF is planning to develop a Vande Bharat Metro which is a 12-coach train for short distance travel.

Comfort: With 16 coaches, out of which 12 are sleeper class coaches with berths for passengers to rest during long journeys. The berths are spacious and cozy, with adjustable headrests, reading lights, mobile charging points, and personal lockers, equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, LED lighting, automatic temperature control, and noise cancellation systems.
With its state-of-the-art driving system Vande Bharat Sleeper train allows to accelerate and decelerate smoothly and efficiently.
Routes of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train
Now that you know how awesome Vande Bharat sleeper train is, you must be wondering where and how you can travel in it.
Vande Bharat sleeper train will initially operate on two routes: Delhi-Varanasi and Mumbai-Ahmedabad with stops at Kanpur, Prayagraj, and Jaunpur. Whilst the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route will have stops at Surat, Vadodara, and Anand.
Ticket Bookings
Tickets for Vande Bharat sleeper train can be booked online through IRCTC website or app or offline through railway counters or agents. Booking can be up to 120 days in advance or up to 4 hours before the departure of the train.
The fare for Vande Bharat sleeper train will be 1.5 times higher than the fare for Rajdhani Express trains on the same routes, including meals, snacks, water bottles, bedrolls, newspapers and magazines.
Price: Depending on the season, demand, occupancy ranging from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 4,000 for a sleeper class berth.
