I have immense love for waterfalls. I absolutely adore the waterfalls and the flowing water. It soothes me to the core and I really enjoy sitting beside it, getting drenched in it and eating Maggie while listening to the melodious sound of flowing water.
Recently, I got very lucky as I got a chance to visit some of the famous and not so famous waterfalls of different parts of India. This article will be all about the waterfalls, big or small, covered by me in an year. So lets get through it...
1) Purwa Waterfalls, Madhya Pradesh
This fall is an absolute treat to eyes. Purwa Falls is a waterfall in Rewa region, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is managed by Semariya, a town in the Rewa. The Falls are 200 ft tall (almost 67 m) and offer a spectacular vista. The falls are mighty, with a massive amount of water falling per second.
2) Jogini Waterfall, Himachal Pradesh
Jogini Waterfall is nestled in Manali's picturesque Valley, about 3 km from the bustling town and around 2 km from the famed Vashisht Temple. The fall is merges in to Beas River in the downstream. Trekking from Vashisht Temple will take you to the waterfall.
3) Harvelem Waterfall, Goa
The Arvalem falls, additionally referred to as the Harvalem falls, are situated close to Mapusa in North Goa. The nearest villages are Bicholim, that is 8km away and Sanquelim which is 2km away. The Arvalem waterfall, with a height of simply 50m and a breadth of 7m, may be a common traveler spot and picnic location in Goa, particularly throughout the monsoon season and this one less explored and less crowded.
4) Tons Waterfall, Madhya Pradesh
A true hidden beauty near Sirmaur, Rewa in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is located in the Tehsil of Sirmaur (50 km from Rewa and 10 km from Sirmaur). The combination of Ghinauni Dham and Ton Waterfall makes it a must-see throughout the summer. For the finest experience, go when it's time to bathe and take a shower in the natural environment.
5) Lhasa Waterfall, Gangtok
Lhasa Falls is a beautiful waterfall that runs down the mountain and may be seen on the side of the road when driving from Tashi View Point. Small yet lovely waterfall, it is generally at its best during the wet season. It is included in the local sightseeing in Gangtok and is easily accessible from the road because it is located right besides the major road. It's one of several waterfalls in and near Gangtok.
6) Bakthang Waterfall, Gangtok
Bakthang is a small waterfall near Gangtok on the North Sikkim Highway. It is one of the best places to visit in Gangtok and one of the most well-known cascades in Gangtok, located near Tashi View Point. The falls begin from Ratey Chu, the main water source for the Gangtok region. It cascades down from the stone, forming a little pool underneath it.
7) Sajla Waterfalls, Himachal Pradesh
Sajla Waterfall, on the left bank of River Beas, is a beautiful natural waterfall at Village Sajla. It is about 10 Km from Manali. It is one of the very less travelled places when it comes to Manali. The tourist generally visits only one part of the waterfall and then they go back but there is a hidden lesser-known trail to the upper part of the falls which gives you a total experience of ‘Alice in the Wonderland.’
8) Neer Waterfall, Rishikesh
Neergarh Waterfall is nestled in the heart of Rishikesh's verdant forest, approximately 5 kilometers from the city center. The water pouring from natural rocky cliffs tempts visitors to take a refreshing plunge in the tiny stream. The hike to the waterfall is an exciting adventure since it entails going through the jungle on small pathways. This is a lovely waterfall, and standing near it is incredibly pleasant.
9) Spotted some frozen unnamed waterfalls in Lahual & Spiti Valley
