DAY 1:

As I boarded the Udyan Express train from Mumbai to Bangalore, I was excited to embark on a new adventure. I had packed some homemade aloo parathas and pickles for the journey and was looking forward to a scenic ride.

As the train passed through Lonavala station, I couldn't resist buying some Lonavala chikki to munch on. With the beautiful views of the Western Ghats in the background, the sweet and crunchy snack was the perfect accompaniment to my parathas.

After a quick nap, I woke up to find that we had passed Pune. Feeling a bit peckish, I decided to try the roti and bhaji at the Kurduvadi station. The food was delicious and filling, and I was glad to have had a hearty lunch.

As I continued my journey, I struck up conversations with some of my co-passengers, learning about their lives and experiences. The train passed through DUDHANI station, and soon we were in Karnataka. I could feel the change in language and culture and was excited to explore the state.

After a dinner of egg rice, I settled down for the night. When I woke up, I realized that the train was delayed and we were at the DHARMAVARAM JN station. I stepped out to stretch my legs and explore the station, feeling the chill of the early morning air.

As the train began to move, I returned to my seat and gazed out of the window, taking in the sights of Karnataka. The train finally arrived at Bengaluru Cant station at 6 AM, and I stepped out into the chilly Bangalore weather. I hailed an auto to take me to my friend’s room, excited to begin exploring the city.

DAY 2:

My Exciting Second Day in Bangalore: Exploring Adiyogi Shiva Statue and More

After a relaxing first day of travel, I was ready to explore Bangalore on the second day of my trip. I met up with my friends, and we headed out to try some local delicacies. Our first stop was to try the famous Thatte Idli, and we all agreed that it was the best idli we had ever tasted.

Next, we went to my friend's college, NIOS, where we learned about the history of the institution and its focus on maintaining greenery and cleanliness. It was a beautiful and peaceful campus.

After visiting the college, we embarked on our journey to see the Adiyogi Shiva Statue in Chikkaballapura. We took the metro to Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station, Majestic, and then a bus to Chikkaballapura bus station. From there, we took another bus to the statue.

Upon reaching our destination, we saw the stunning Lord Shiva Statue, which was a sight to behold. The view from the top was breathtaking. We also had delicious food at the canteen, which included Sambar Rice, Paratha, and Lemon Rice. It was one of the best meals I had on the trip.

After spending some time at the statue, we headed back to our room, but we were stuck in traffic for over two hours. It was tiring, but we kept ourselves entertained by talking about the day's experiences.

Once we reached our room, we rested for a bit, and then we headed out to the nearest restaurant to parcel some food. We then took a walk on the streets of Bangalore and enjoyed the cool climate. Finally, we returned to our room, where we chatted and reflected on our exciting day.

DAY 4:

The fourth day of our trip was the last day we spent in Bangalore. It was bittersweet because we had an amazing time exploring the city, but we were also excited to see what adventures awaited us in Gokarna. We woke up early in the morning and headed to IDC Kitchen Cafe to have a delicious South Indian breakfast. The food was so good that we were tempted to stay there all day, but we had to make the most of our time in Bangalore.

From the cafe, we took an auto and went to see the magnificent Bangalore Palace. It was an awe-inspiring sight to see the palace's grandeur and the rich history behind it. We took our time exploring the palace and learning about its cultural significance.

After our visit to the palace, we headed back to our room and stopped at a restaurant for lunch. We also bought some local snacks from Bangalore to take with us on our journey to Gokarna. Once we returned to our room, we started packing our bags since we had to catch a train in the evening.

While on the train, we saw some of Bangalore's beauty from the window, which was a wonderful way to end our trip. We also packed some lemon rice to eat during the journey, and it was a great way to taste the local flavors while on the move. The train ride was peaceful and calm, and we enjoyed the scenic views as we traveled to our next destination.

Eventually, we arrived at our destination and went to sleep, excited to explore the beautiful town of Gokarna. Our time in Bangalore had been a great experience, and we were glad to have made some amazing memories with my friends.

DAY 5:

The fifth day of the trip was truly a day to remember as we arrived at our destination, Gokarna, and explored its beauty. The train journey was a surreal experience with the picturesque view of the sunrise and Gokarna's beauty from the window. The station was exceptionally clean and surrounded by lush green trees that made it a nature's paradise.

After reaching Gokarna, we took a cab to our hotel, but unfortunately, we gave the wrong location to the driver, and he dropped us 30 minutes away from our actual hotel location. But, the walk to our hotel was worth it as we witnessed the true beauty of the village and its natural air that felt so calming.

After checking in and taking some rest, we headed towards the beach to take a dip in the sea, which was a rejuvenating experience. We then had some delicious breakfast, Masala Maggi, and Coconut water, and enjoyed the beach vibe.

The day was full of excitement as we explored Gokarna Beach and its nearby market and relished Chicken Tali for lunch. In the evening, we went to the beach to witness the beautiful sunset and clicked some memorable pictures. We spent some time on the beach till 8:00 PM at night, enjoying the starry sky, a sight we don't usually see in the city.

For dinner, we had an Egg Thali and fried egg with Rotis, which was a perfect meal after a long day of exploring. We went back to the beach to enjoy the cold air, listen to the sea sounds, and feel the serenity of the place. After spending some quality time on the beach, we went back to our hotel room to sleep, as we had an exciting day planned ahead.

The fifth day of our trip was one of the most memorable days of the trip, as we explored Gokarna's beauty, witnessed a surreal sunset, and experienced the peace that the place had to offer. We were excited about the upcoming days of the trip and couldn't wait to explore more of this beautiful place.

DAY 6:

Today marked the sixth day of my trip and it was a day full of adventure and exploration. The day started early with a beautiful blue sky and a refreshing morning breeze. We went for a morning walk on the beach at 6:30 AM and it was so peaceful and calming.

After breakfast, we embarked on a trekking adventure to explore Kudle Beach and Om Beach in Gokarna. The trek started from Gokarna Beach to Kudle Beach, and along the way, we discovered a secret trek that led us through the beautiful Gokarna village. We also made sure to fill up our water bottles for the journey ahead.

Upon reaching Kudle Beach, we were in awe of its stunning beauty. We then started our trek to Om Beach, but unfortunately, we took a longer route that took us 30 minutes longer than the shortcut we took on our way back.

Once we reached Om Beach, we stopped at a cafe for lunch. We ordered delicious chicken and egg thalis and enjoyed our meal with a breathtaking view of the beach. We were allowed to sit in the cafe for a few hours to soak in the beach vibes.

After our long lunch break, we started trekking back to Gokarna's main beach where our hotel was located. We took some rest before heading out for dinner. We went for a night walk on the beach and enjoyed the peaceful sound of the waves crashing on the shore.

Overall, the day was filled with adventure, scenic views, delicious food, and peaceful moments. It was truly a day to remember.

DAY 7:

The seventh day of the trip marked the end of our time in Gokarna. We woke up late in the morning because we were extremely tired from the previous day's trekking. After getting ready, we decided to have brunch as it was already 1:00 PM. While we were out, we also bought a lungi, which is a traditional South Indian dress that is worn by men.

In the evening, we decided to explore the Gokarna temples and market. We spent some time walking around the market and bought some essential items like bread packets, onions, tomatoes, and chat masala to make sandwiches for our breakfast. We also bought some sweets from Gokarna to carry with us to Mumbai.

After exploring the market, we returned to our hotel room and got ready for dinner. Since it was our last day in Gokarna, we decided to spend more time on the beach at night. The view of the starry sky and the sound of the sea waves gave us a peaceful feeling that helped us forget all the worries and stresses of daily life.

Late at night, we returned to our room and started packing our bags as we had to check out the next day. We felt a tinge of sadness as we knew that our time in Gokarna had come to an end. Nevertheless, we were grateful for the amazing experience and memories that we had made over the past few days.

Overall, the trip to Gokarna was an incredible experience. From the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets to the stunning beaches and treks, it was a journey that we will always remember. We were able to immerse ourselves in the culture and beauty of South India, and it left a lasting impact on us. As we drifted off to sleep, we knew that we had experienced something truly special and we were already thinking about our next adventure.

DAY 8:

South India is a land of vibrant culture, scenic beauty, and delicious food. Our trip to Bangalore and Gokarna was a week-long journey filled with new experiences and unforgettable memories. As we embarked on the last day of our trip, we couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia.

We started our day by heading to the beach to catch a glimpse of the stunning blue sky in the morning. The cool breeze and the sound of waves crashing against the shore were the perfect way to kickstart our day. After taking a few pictures, we headed back to our room to make some sandwiches for breakfast. We were amazed at how delicious they tasted, considering they were made with just a few simple ingredients.

After packing up our bags, we left Gokarna Beach and decided to explore the village. We had some time to kill before our train, so we decided to have breakfast at a local cafe. We ordered fried eggs with roti, and it was a perfect combination. We struck up a conversation with the owner of the cafe, who was incredibly kind and told us about the history and culture of Gokarna. We learned a lot about his life and culture, which was a heartwarming experience.

After spending more than three hours at the cafe, we headed to Gokarna Railway Station to catch our train. The station was situated in the middle of the jungle, which was a bit scary at first, but the station workers were kind and made us feel safe. We packed some egg rice for dinner and waited for our train to arrive.

As we sat at the station waiting for our train, we reflected on the experiences we had during the trip. From exploring the vibrant city of Bangalore to trekking through the beautiful beaches of Gokarna, we had experienced a lot in just a week. We had learned so much about the culture and traditions of South India and had tasted some of the most delicious food we had ever eaten.

As the station master announced the arrival of our train, we gathered our bags and made our way to the platform. Our train arrived, and we said goodbye to Gokarna, feeling a mix of emotions - happy to be returning home, but sad to leave behind the beauty and warmth of South India.

In conclusion, our South Indian trip was an unforgettable experience that gave us a deeper understanding of the culture, food, and people of this region. We feel grateful for the opportunity to have explored this part of India and will cherish the memories of this trip forever.
