This was our one day trip to recently got popular place Mandargiri Hills/Mandargiri Betta. It is approximately 8O kms from bangalore and it took us 1.5 hours to reach by car.

You have an amazing peacock temple and another temple on hill top and view of Mydala lake behind the temple is spectacular. It is an 1000 years old temple with a perfect view from hill top.

Mandaragiri hill is a perfect weekend getaway, one of the important pilgrim place for Jains near Tumkur, Karnataka. The Hill also known as Basadi Betta locally, best place for trekking with approximately 450 steps. The views from the hills are mesmerizing, with a temple at the base of the hill and a small temple at the top of the hill which is under renovation. Make sure you reach early as possible else these days it gets crowed in later part of the day.

They have all the basic facilities like small eating joints and washrooms available on the spot and a perfect place to go a picnic with family. Road till there is smooth and easy to drive.
