Munnar is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala. It is a breathtakingly beautiful hill station set at an altitude of 6000ft in the Idukki district of Kerala. It is the largest tea-growing region and one of the best hill stations in South India. It is known for its green belt of lush forests and unending expanse of tea estates. It is also known to house some endangered species like Neelakurinji and Nilgiri Tahr.

I along with my friends started my journey at 12.00 am from Palakkad and reached Adimali at 4.30 am. We traveled by car. Munnar has a well-established road network with state and national highways. You can take a KSRTC or rent a car too. If you have a car you can travel to many local places where bus doesn't go.

We went during march. It was charming enough but the temperature goes high upto 35 degree celcius. The first thing we done was trekking in Meesapulimala. It is one of the most loved hike. It is around 40 kms outside Munnar. It involves a decent drive and about 6 hours of walking. The trail leads to a wonderful mountaintop way above the clouds. We had packed food which we bought from a local household. Then we visited the Wild Elephant Village at Anakulam. Herds of elephants live in the forest and they visit the river daily to drink and play. You get to see them when they naturally visit the lake to drink and play. If you are an elephant lover, you must visit it for sure. We had a stay at Tea County resort, Munnar. The stay was just amazing but was little expensive.

Next day visited the Echo Point in the morning. It is considered to be one of the most mystical places in Munnar. Then went to Top Station. It offers an amazing view of the most gorgeous valleys. It is also very famous for photoshoots. Everyonw who visits munnar clicks a picture here and uploads it in his/her instagram profile. Then went to Attukad Waterfalls. Its very busing during day. People come here early morning have a bath and sit on the rocks and enjoy the cool breeze. But, when we visited water was very little due to hot weather.

Then, we travelled back to Palakkad and reached home late night.
