Kandal Thundi or Kadalundi was once a prominent arrival point, is now a renowned bird sanctuary. Located at the southern part of Kozhikode, is known to harbour migratory birds from India and abroad.
Boat ride is available from the Kadalundi -Vallikkunu Community Reserve. The punt boats take you into mangroves thickets, around the islands, as you witness birds, otters and varieties of crustaceans. The eco-friendly ride over the tranquil river will surely rejuvenate your mind and body.
