It was day visit to Chilika Lake from Bhubaneswar. The short trip started from catching train from Bhubaneswar station for Chilika station. You can easily hire an auto to drop at the boating point at Chilika lake. We reached at the point and explored the garden and nearby area. After exploring, we booked private jet boat with some bunch of people to explore a beautiful island where kalijai temple is located. It is the main attraction and is considered to be the abode of Goddess kalijai. The weather during month of november is very pleasant and there are chances that you might see some Dolphins. One of the best thing about visiting during winters is that the presence of migratory birds. Take some snacks for them and enjoy the stunts performed by the birds to catch the food. You will get to see nice sporty actions by these birds in air. They look so amazing that you will fall in love with them. The ride to temple is about 30 min duration which you will mostly enjoy playing with migratory birds. We reached island and explored the temple and view point. After that, we returned back to point and the beautiful short trip ended. You can have look at some of the pictures.
