Entering the hotel, I was warmly greeted and as I rolled my eyes around I could see the relics of its history either hanging from the wall or kept preserved in the corner or hear it from the local staffs.

Walking through the gallery as a princess (well there's no harm in self-elevation), I could imagine the rich history behind this modern yet heritage palace, built in 1920s by HH Hamid Ullah Khan for his eldest daughter Abida Sultan, the palace was considered to be the best residential palace in the Bhopal Estate...and why not, it is so well-designed, overlooking the tranquility of Bhopal lake, offering the pleasure of enjoying a sunset and see birds flying down to their nest. The white palatial building and architecture reflects the regal times and grandeur of an era gone by. Strategically located and blessed with a stunning view, the lush green well manicured gardens in its surrounding present a perfect setting for a sublime stay. The Central Cascade courtyard brings back the memories of a charming Nawabi evening.
