During our roadtrip from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka, we came across this hidden beauty called "Ramboda Falls" in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass.

RAMBODA FALLS is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka & 729th highest waterfall in the world.

The day we visited this place, I was so mesmerized with the view, that day itself I decided my first ever blog is going to be about this place. The reason of writing this first is because I want to let other travelers know about this hidden beauty.

Even the pictures don’t speak much about the place. The real view is more beautiful than in the pictures.

The view from just a few meters away from the waterfall

We witnessed this hidden beauty from Ramboda falls hotel. This waterfall can be accessed from Hotel Restaurant through a tiny passage.

The view is picturesque which is encircled by a fast flowing crystal clear stream, luscious greenery surrounding all over & continuous moving fog giving you on & off glimpse of this beauty.

Coffee with a view

We had some food & coffee at this place at peace with the view of free flowing waterfall & like literally it felt like meditation. If the resources had been handy, I would have started writing at that point immediately about the place. But it’s better late than never so here it is finally about the place.

How to reach here - Located at at a distance of 135 kilometers from Bandaranaike International Airport (approx. 3hrs 45mins) you can manage to book a cab directly from the airport.

About the Hotel – During our visit there we simply spent 2-3 hours & used the restaurant. They offer rooms to stay with the breathtaking view of the waterfall starting from $ 80.00 per night. Hotel Link - https://www.rambodafalls.com/ Next time I visit this place I am sure will stay there for few days.

Tip – The passage from Hotel restaurant to the fall is a bit rocky & uneven so please carry good shoes. Also you can go down to bathe in the waterfall so carry clothing accordingly.

Lastly, I know it's too cheesy but I would like to share this picture with my better half at this beautiful place.
