Needless to say, Goa is full of water bodies and one should explore them by discovering them, especially the ones that aren't so popular and most visited. Many underrated waterfalls, big and small exist in goa amidst thick greens. Even google maps can't take you to the very place and mostly you will end up walking or trekking to reach such waterfalls.

After our disastrous plan to Dudhsagar waterfalls got crumbled to pieces, the next day I was quite adamant about taking my pals to any waterfall to get a photoshoot done. Thankfully, our failed efforts got paid the next day when I came up with a plan for Kesarval in the morning. I have been to Verna beach before for a private cruise on one of my earlier visits. Then I have heard about this very waterfall but I couldn't explore it. Hence I thought it was the right chance to plan for it, after all, this time I could get the company of my pals.

We all woke up and freshened up. Some got decked up and some didn't. I focused on playing in the waterfall than the photoshoot. So I haven't carried any costume. I was in a pure athleisure look. Our photographer has already booked for his return flight in the afternoon the same day, so we had to rush up in the morning at 7 and thought of wrapping up by 11 and dropping him at the airport before his boarding time.

Panjim to Verna is around 23 km and Kesarval waterfall is in Verna. So we drove to one huge industrial estate according to google maps and then we couldn't find anything because obviously, waterfalls wouldn't pop up on roads right. Then, we asked a few local people who were passing by regarding the waterfall. They said it was right behind that industrial place and we were suggested to walk till the narrow path that leads to the falls.

My brother quite tried to park at the nearest distance but the paths were very narrow for a car to pass. Hence we parked around 700 meters away and thought of walking towards. Till 200 meters, the road looked like a normal lane and then we took a turn where the road was a typical mountain narrow path. But it was well seen, well connected and the passage looks evident because of the constant movements of people around.

It was heavenly scenic in the morning with birds chirping and we could hear the noise of water falling from a mountain to earth by making a pool lake down. One has to be very cautious while walking because of the slippery rocks and muddy paths. We went in October monsoons, so the whole path was wet and mossy. Somehow we have managed to find the exact spot of Kesarval waterfall.

Before going to the hollow space behind the fall

By the time we reached, a few other travellers were enjoying their vacation mode like us and getting drenched in the water. Slowly, my pals changed their clothes and our photographer was checking the location for safe photogenic spots. Meanwhile, I was covering almost every inch of the space around by capturing videos and clicks on my phone until I found a spot that was at the edge of the waterfall where I could stand and watch how the water was falling.

Somehow I reached the spot by crossing all my way that was filled with pebbles and water. From that spot, one can get a 360 degrees view and it was also safe yet slippery. And when I was embracing the waterfall, my photographer asked me to pose. I was in a sports bra and yoga pants but I posed candidly for fun. After that, my pals were excited to get themselves clicked and were making the photographer go mad with their endless poses but it was all fun. When everything was happening, my curious eyes went to the rocks supporting the heavy waterfall.

There was a hollow space like a small cave where 3 members could fit easily but one must get fully drenched in water to reach there because one has to face the waterfall for a few seconds to cross it. It was a bit scary for me but after ensuring it was a safe place to reach, I somehow managed myself crawling on those slippery pebbled rocks. Inside I felt the utmost calm ever even though all I could hear was the noise of water angrily falling on the rocks. In that space, the water was flowing from the spaces between rocks like leaks. It was a pure nature creation with an interruption of humans. Those few minutes I spent under that small cave opening behind the waterfall was the best ones at Kesarval waterfall and I could cherish them forever. Even today, I could recollect every moment from that very spot.

After some time, I came out and posed for some more clicks with my pals under the waterfall and we all could sense fish moving on our feet here and there making us scream out of ticklish feeling underneath our feet. It was one fun moment over there. We spent around two hours over there and I was feeling cold and completely wet. I didn't carry anything to change. So I came out to soak myself in some sunlight so my clothes could be dried.

With my pals!

After that, we again got clicked at the outer premises and paths of the waterfalls. When everyone got into their clothes and when I got partially dried myself up, we thought of returning to our car by bagging tons of memories, crazy clicks and too many stories from the Kesarval Waterfalls of Verna in North Goa.

So, if you ever get to visit Verna, do remember to make your presence at these beautiful and exotic Kesarval waterfalls.
