The next best place was Burj Al Arab. It was the 3rd largest hotel in the world with posh dining and suites. Its situated in the beach area and is said to have 3 -4 floors underwater. It had its own private beach. It even has a sky bar which has the view of the sky. The glance of this beautiful hotel made me realize that human efforts and money can do wonders if used properly. The scorching heat couldn't let us wait there for more than 20 minutes. The view of hotel was all we could get to see.
Visit the madinat jumeirah : It is a souk very near to the Jumeirah beach. Visit the souk to check out the souvenirs and local handmade items. There are also good restaurantsand bars in that place.

The entire complex is designed to look like an old Arabian town. The Souk has many shops and stalls selling antiquities and novelties plus it has more than 40 restaurants and bars.
It was a joy to attend Art Dubai 2009 during the Sheikh’s attendance and a small bonus that I was shown around Dubai for the lavish dinners, parties, after-parties and delightfully shallow mingling cocktail hours with Dubai’s most sought after at the time, including but not limited to: Sacha Jaffri. At the time, Sacha was a featured artist at Art Dubai 2009 and named one of the most promising and upcoming artists that year.
