Fewa lake – paid 500 NR for the boat ride and 50 NR for life jacket.fewa
Phewa lake is the largest lake in Pokhara, and it is the most beautiful place to go on a boat ride. I also saw the mountain peaks of the Annapurna Himalayas while being in the middle of the lake. While boating, I reached a little forest area from where I took a 45 minutes trek to visit the World Peace Pagoda. The boat can wait till you trek and come back.
1. Go boating and fishing in the majestic Phewa Tal, a freshwater lake in Pokhara and a major tourist attraction. This is one of the most relaxing features of your Nepal itinerary.
In the evening, enjoy boating for an hour on Fewa Lake. The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activites. Overnight in Pokhara. (B, D)
The Phewa lake is 'grand' to say the least; Good as much to walk up as it is to relax. The lakeside street is one of the happening areas in town I'm sure, with good options to stay put and to unwind. Tourists milling all over, this again is pretty much the 'touristy' part of the town, and looks forever alive ! Stroll around, have a few beers by the lake and party until midnight ( Check out 'busy bee'; It's not hard to find ! ). During the day, head out to the various view points ( The most famous being Sarangkot ), or indulge in adventure ( rafting, flying, trekking ! ) .... Pokhara is smaller than Kathmandu, but a much quieter and a more sparsely populated place to put up !
