Jubbal

Once a Princely state, this is now a place of vacation due to the luscious greenery and the forested areas. This place was designed by French architects in the 19th century and the old buildings here still stand strong with the effects of Chinese, European and Indian blends of architecture. The main attraction here are the forts of the King and the Khara Pathar. The apple orchards, pine and deodar plantations are a place of safari too. The main festivals celebrated here are the Hemis and Rampur Jatar Festival.

Very few people have heard of Jubbal, a three and a half drive out of Shimla brings you to this hill station. It is famous for its apple orchards and the Jubbal Palace which was a palace of the royal family and now has been converted into a hotel.
