Ko Pha-ngan Surat Thani Thailand
The Numero Uno of party in Asia has to be the monthly full-moon party held in the tiny island of Koh Phangan . Having been to this party twice, I can personally vouch for its complete madness and insanity. With its intoxicating energy, huge crowd and captivating excitement, it is one of those unforgettable experiences. Though the drinks are cheap (about 100 baht for a cocktail), the hostel/hotel prices surge on the party night. So it is advisable to book early.  This party definitely deserves an entry on the bucket list. For more information: http://www.fullmoonparty-thailand.com/

Lamai Beach Surat Thani Thailand
Hoping on to a Thai airway flight we landed right into the land of playas, Koh Samui in about an hour. At the airport, opt for buses and not taxis to get to your hotel, as they are pocket friendly at 10 $ for two and one gets a sight seeing ride by default as well. Half an hour later we arrived at The Pavilion Villas and Resorts, located at Lamai beach. This resort offers various kinds of villas each better than the other along with a library, being my personal highlight and the much-needed Internet of course. Their in-house spas and bars should undoubtedly be checked off the list. The staff here is very hospitable and can assist you plan your stay at the beach. After the chivalrous greetings, we checked into our Hydro pool villa with French windows, lavishly opening up to a private pool. The sight was nothing less than an alluring dream. Off went our shoes and we jumped straight into the pool. Soon, hunger took over, driving us to one of the beach side restaurants where we gorged our way through prawns and fish enjoying the first sunset in the city. The following day, to add to our romance, we hired a bike. It sure did save us a lot of bucks as well. 6$ a day and you can explore the whole island at your own pace and will. Riding our way through, our next destination was Chaweng beach. Chaweng is certainly livelier than Lamai, so if you are looking for a pure relaxing holiday, opt for Lamai. But if you are in the mood to groove & shop, then Chaweng is your beach. We spent our afternoon at Eat Sense Beach Restaurant, sipping on our margaritas and riding on the Jet Skis.We exited Chaweng by twilight to explore this wee land of beaches on our own. Riding through the town, we came across tiny shops selling sexy beachwear from bikinis to hats and sarongs. And just like that, our encounter to get to know Samui better, landed us into our next destination - Rocky’s. One of the most ideal resorts I have been to so far. Situated in Lamai beach and spread over some classy acres of land, this resort has its own exclusive private beach as well. It gives one a wild feeling amidst the seas, with two mesmerizing swimming pools and a bountiful number of bars and restaurants around. We eventually plotted our way to their restaurant where we were greeted with captivating live music and a lot of laughter. The basa fish on their menu was inevitably delicious, smooth as silk and full of flavors. We were in for a yummy treat.
Samui Mart Ang Thong Surat Thani Thailand
The next day we got up late and had a leisurely lunch and some indulgent massages. We dropped into the Samui Mall and then walked around the town buying souvenirs for folks back home. In the evening, one of my friends who was teaching in Samui at the time, came to meet us and took us to the Night Market. We went by tuk-tuk and the moment we got off she handed us cocktails off a cart by the roadside! How cool was that!We walked the market, fending off entreaties from sellers to buy stuff and clicking photos of the street food and this beautiful lady performing a traditional Thai dance. When we got tired of walking we had dinner at a gorgeous Italian place by the sea and came back to our hotel.
Cabaret Paris Follies หมู 2 Bo Put Surat Thani Thailand
No Thailand trip is complete without their infamous Ladyboy show, was it. So, we did our research and found out that we were pretty much at the best place to watch one of their best shows in Paris Follies Cabaret. They have two shows every night and while there is no charge to enter, purchasing a drink is mandatory. The show was very decent and a fun experience. A must if I say so in Koh Samui.
Coco Hut Village Surat Thani Thailand
10) Swinging it like the 60's- Head over to Coco Beach, to see the swings between coconut trees, across the expanse of a beautiful coastline by a calm sea. The sea has various shows where the water changes various shades of blue and green depending on the time of the day. The calm and serene beach, coupled with swings, brings a childlike thrill to spending the day like a beach bum.

Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks Ko Samui Surat Thani Thailand
However, what caught my fascination was the Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks. While rock formations across Thailand is no surprise, but these ones were unique because they were rocks in the shape of male and female genitals fondly called by the locals as Grandpa (Ta) and Grandma (Yai) rocks. Legend has it that it was an old couple who lived with their son who had come of age in the southern part of the district. In their pursuit to find a suitable girl to ask for a hand in marriage, the couple set out on a boat across to a neighbouring province.
Thale Nai Ang Thong Surat Thani Thailand
9) Catching the Emerald Lake in a hidden Lagoon- Did you know that this little lagoon/lake is connected to the sea via the underground. The little hills cover the lagoon on all sides, and it has a tiring hike to be done to see this little view. The Thale Nai saltwater lake, is part of the Angthong Islands trail.
