Chances are you haven’t heard of Keoti Waterfall. Chances are you haven’t seen many, if any, photos of it either. I think that Keoti is one of MP's(Madhya Pradesh) best-kept secrets and I want to share it with you!
Keoti Falls are located near Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. From the main city of Rewa, they are at a distance of 46 km. They are formed when River Mahana which is a tributary of River Tons descends down the Rewa Plateau. The total height of this waterfall is 130 m (427ft.)
HOW TO GET TO KEOTI WATERFALL
When googling the name, we didn’t come up with too much direct information. I guess that’s the problem when you find somewhere beautiful- you are always tempted to keep it to yourself. Luckily I decided to just type it into Google maps. Bingo! Google gives you an exact location and can help you navigate all the way to this magical spot.
From Rewa, the drive to Keoti waterfall would take around half an hour. Local buses are available from rewa bus stand.
It hardly takes an hour to reach keoti Waterfall.
Many locals also know where Keoti Waterfall is, so you can easily arrange a driver to take you there in comfort.
About million years ago a volcanic eruption took place to create a long canyon.
During my visit, I asked some of the local guys and they have their own beliefs so basically, they believe that its outcome of the earthquake and its impossible to throw anything to the other side of the canyon because of the gravitational force( I don't want to teach them physics lesson so I nodded)
But some of them believe it's a bottomless canyon, yes no one knows where it ends.
God Knows whether it's true or not because I try to Google it but there is no information on the internet about the depth of the canyon.
