Ooty, Coonoor & Coimbatore Trip 2023

We had this beautiful 1 week trip planned to 'Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve', initially we covered "Queen of hills" Ooty & then went for a spiritual expedition to 'Velliangiri Hills'

We start our journey at 11 pm, by boarding Coimbatore express. It was a long 30 hrs journey, we were very excited at the beginning but drowned out by the end of the day.

The trill began when we decided to order our food online. We spend almost 1 hours deciding what to order; but eventually when our platform arrived we had delicious Biryani and closed our day one

It was a pleasant morning, our train arrived at Coimbatore station at 6:30 am. Then we took the auto from the station which took us to the New bus stand and from their we took a bus to Ooty for just Rs. 80, it took us 3:30 hrs to each Ooty.

After Checking in and freshening up we went in search for lunch, had our lunch in "Ooty coffee house" after having lunch we rented an auto and went for local sight seening like pine forest, kamaraj Sagar dam, 9th mines, pykara waterfall. Ended our day having dinner at "hyderabad biryani house ooty".

We started our day with hot black tea & pazam pori near bus stand and start to search for a cab driver who can helps us to roam around Ooty then we randomly barged in with 'Mr. Nishar Amamed'

He had an radiation smile and lots of information to share, in the entire trip he shared lots of information with us; listening him felt like Ooty is so unexplored & we have such less time we us.

We had less time with us so we skip below location but try to cover them, they are the hidden gem not many tourists cover's him.

Bonus location (this all locations come under forest reserve, forest Safari is run by the government, additional cost is taken by the government departments they arrange small trek and helps to cover the location

We start our journey by taking toy train from coonoor, it was a aesthetic journey had the view of Nilgiri hills

Then from coornor we took the cab to Coimbatore which costed us Rs. 200 per person and from Coimbatore to Isha Yoga center we took the bus.

Our spiritual journey began from Coimbatore. We took the bus from Coimbatore railway station (bus no 14 D), this bus will directly drop you to Isha yoga center complex.

We tried a lot to get the Booking into there ashram but couldn't get it, hence we had to book the hotel outside the campus which was 7 km away from the main complex, 'R S residency'. There is no hotels nearby the Asram.

Next day first half also we spend in the Asram and 5 pm took the train back to Mumbai.

This entire trip was exciting, riveting, en lighting, spiritual :)
