Walking Street Pattaya
The infamous, notorious and the place to be at Walking Street will leave you curious when you enter but disturbed when you leave. GoGo Bars, gogo shows and lots of music everywhere all enveloped in so much of colour and so much of light Waking Street is one long street full of clubs on both sides. Be it the ladyboys spanking men as they walk by outside spankies, or the men murmuring ping pong show ping pong show with menu cards flashing in their hand, lots of raw talent out on street for entertainment and bustling bars with pool tables, some local bands, wrestling rings and gogo shows, you'll get it all in this one long street. Bar hopping is the way to go out here when you come in first, c'mon you don't want to be drunk already before you see the entire place. With Alcohol so moderately priced, you will not spend much even if you are club-hopping. Leo their local beer and the Chang are sold at dirt cheap prices but somehow they all seem too diluted and take forever to get you tipsy. The Gogo shows seem all morally incorrect to go for and most of you will come out regretting funding for something like that, but most like me will anyways end up going in to know what they already know. ATTENTION LADIES At the end of walking street there is this street shop which gives you shorts for 20 baht, you wouldn't mind picking a few for yourself and everyone else or probably start a shorts business. And there is a big swing just at the end of walking street costing about 110 baht for a crazy ride of BIG SWING which will last for a few minutes but will take forever to forget as it is way scarier than it looks. Don't eat or drink before hopping on to it unless you want to throw up mid-air.
Pattaya Beach Pattaya Chon Buri Thailand
Day 2: Laze around the Pattaya Beach and drive to the middle of the sea. One can experience multiple water activities like Sea Walking, Motor- Biking and Parasailing. One should not miss the sea walking. It is something one time experience. Reach Coral Island and enjoy the different grilled sea foods- Prawns, Fishes, Lobsters, crabs. One should enjoy the chilled beer with the freshly grilled, finger linking Prawns served with sweet chilli sauce. Fresh fruits are also an attraction. Durian, the national fruit, provides a sweet burst in anyone’s mouth. One should not forget to taste the big Thai Guavas. Those are very big to cease one’s hunger and sweet to relish one’s taste buds. Back to Pattaya Beach and drive to Pattaya Tower. Pattaya tower has 53 floors. One should take the pass which includes one welcome drink and privilege to choose any one of the pathways (Coming down through a rope; kind of bungee, 2nd way is to have an open two seater wheels on the rope and 3rd is to travel on a cage comprising 5 people at a time) to come down. Take a walk to “Walking Street”. One can enjoy a drink and live music and end your day by an authentic Thai Massage.
Day 2 - Was travel day to Pattaya. Thanks to a very minor accident,we had to postpone the travel to early evening and not morning as planned. We took a bus from Ekkamai bus station to Pattaya.Buses leave on time here and hence it is best to arrive early enough. It gets very humid in Bangkok and hence best to ensure that you consume enough fluids through the day.We arrived at our hotel in Pattaya, relaxed for while before we headed to the streets nearby.Pattaya can be very much on your face initially.Definitely not my favorite place!Travel tip - shared tuk tuks are really cheap.Do ensure that you confirm the price per person before boarding these shared tuk tuks.Day 3 - By now,we were getting used to the weather, food and streets in Thailand. The strong cooking oil odor is everywhere and takes time getting used to.Day 3 started by a walk down the Pattaya beach road. The beach is strictly okay here.Travel Tip - Buy water from 7/11.It would cost anywhere between 9-18 THB.Restaurants charge a lot for bottle of water. After a long walk down the beach road and lunch at an Indian restaurant,we were back at our hotel ready to move back to Bangkok. The bus ride from Pattaya to Bangkok feels very similar to the bus ride from Mumbai to Pune.Since,we had an early morning flight to Phuket next morning,we booked a hotel (G9 Bangkok) closer to the Don Mueng airport.Travel Tip - If you are short of food and it is very late in the day - just walk upto a 711 store and buy packed food for 35-60THB.They would warm it at their store for you to carry back to your hotel. We had to do this because all restaurants in the area had closed by the time we got ready for dinner. If one has time, chatuchak market is a must visit.Day 4 - Travel to Phuket!A very different place compared to cities in North Thailand. The approach to Phuket runway is lovely! There are several small hills dotting the sea below! It looks gorgeous from the top.
