23rd Jan 2017

Me and my sister along with 02 of our best friends jumped in for an unplanned trek to Sandakphu in the month of January 2017 to utilise the weekend and the national holidays. We somehow managed to get the train tickets done at the very last minute and started off for the 1st trek of our life.

Sandakphu, the highest point of Singalila Ridge in the Darjeeling district of the Eastern Himalayas. The ridge spreads majorly in the borders of West Bengal, Sikkim and part of Nepal. If you are a nature lover and an adventure seeker then Sandakphu trek is the must-to-do trek for you. This is considered to be a easy trek though moderate in nature. At a height of around 3636m, this trek let you witness 4 of the 5 highest peaks of the world - Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and the magnificent Everest.
