01st ever trek of our life to West Bengal's highest peak #notinnorth

Tripoto
23rd Jan 2017

Me and my sister along with 02 of our best friends jumped in for an unplanned trek to Sandakphu in the month of January 2017 to utilise the weekend and the national holidays. We somehow managed to get the train tickets done at the very last minute and started off for the 1st trek of our life.

Sandakphu, the highest point of Singalila Ridge in the Darjeeling district of the Eastern Himalayas. The ridge spreads majorly in the borders of West Bengal, Sikkim and part of Nepal. If you are a nature lover and an adventure seeker then Sandakphu trek is the must-to-do trek for you. This is considered to be a easy trek though moderate in nature. At a height of around 3636m, this trek let you witness 4 of the 5 highest peaks of the world - Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and the magnificent Everest.

Thank you Mr. Lewis. Let me answer your questions one by one. I needed a break from a busy corporate life and went on my first journey. I love any unplanned travel and have deep love for Sea, Mountains & Forests. I mostly like long road trips along with forest and mountains, love solo travel but friends do add some spices in it always. I love adventure so like any kind of adventure trips that excites me and gives me goosebumps. Travel Movie - I do love "Zindegi Na Milegi Dobara" the most as that has inspired me to travel and I got to know my passion Travel Book - NA, Travel Quote - “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” – Helen Keller Fav Travel Destination - I have started travelling very late and I have not traveled much. Out of the places I have traveled till date my fav destination is Kodaikanal and Anju Veedu Travel Gadget - Charger for Phone and Camera Advice - Take care of yourself and respect the nature
