Day 5

The thirst of wanderlust can only be quenched by leaving behind the hustle bustle of Delhi life and getting on the bus which traverses through the scenic mountains and river beds and finally reaches Mcleodganj, in exile and home to large population of Tibetans and official residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Best is to explore the place on foot with immense greenery of Deodar Cedar and Pine trees starting from St John Church in Wilderness , Dal lake and Naddi Sunset view point. Mcleodganj main center and market houses various small eateries and café joints to satisfy your hunger pangs and taste buds. The smell of coffee, cake and momos is alone not enough, eating freshly baked pizza in wood fired pizza oven at Morgan’s Place at Dharamkot road makes for a perfect evening. Adventure seekers can start early day trek to Triund Hill and be ready to be spell bound by the breathtaking view of snow clad mountains and spending the night under sky full of stars. If you are blessed enough you may also be joined by four legged fur balls along the hike. For the peace of mind and purity of heart pay a visit to Bhagsunag temple and waterfall along with Namgyal Monastery and then start the next leg of journey by heading towards the quaint, serene and green pastured Bir. The time will stand still and be lost in the moment to be you and just you. To end the trip on high note and set your heart rate pulsating paraglide from world’s second highest paragliding spot Billing. While heading back don’t forget to be a spectator at highest international cricket ground in the world, HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala and make beautiful memories all along. #anupamatherunnerandtraveller
