A lot has happened in the year 2018 and 2019 till date. The one thing that has continued to burn the deep desire inside me is to travel and find places to be called as home far away from home.

I had a plan to make my family wonder around the beauty of Uttrakhand this time. My mom is 54 years old and a younger brother who has just turned 21 last year. Both of them had no exposure to hills\mountains however, we share same blood when it comes to embracing a beauty and new experiences in life. So I booked their tickets from Delhi to Dehradun and planned a most hectic trip I can think of at that time.

Delhi->Dehradun-> Mussoorie-> Auli-> Joshimath-> Badrinath-> Mana-> Joshimath-> Dehradun -> Delhi

The trip was hectic. We flew to Dehradun from Delhi Airport, and reached in the evening where I had already booked a cab service #intercitycabservices. From there we began our travel to Mussoorie, our first destination. The other modes of travel to Dehradun from Delhi is taking an overnight bus service or train whatever is comfortable to one. There are multiple local transport services in Dehradun that can take you to Mussoorie as its only takes 2 hours to drive away from Dehradun.

Earlier I thought of sharing the complete day to day travel dairy but now as it's been 2 years we traveled together for this trip, it does not seem right!

I am not going to do a regular blog here guys. During this Isolation, I realized the importance of this trip and more over the memories we created. It was our first very official FAMILY TRIP!! And whether we agree or not, we all loved it and I think once you go through this blog or experience of mine, you can relate it in a much better way.

So: We indeed traveled through Dehradun, Mussorrie, Joshimath, Auli, Badrinath and Mana in 10 days.

When you are travelling with family, things are actually different, way different than you ever expect it to be. :)

Mussorrie:

In Mussorrie, I made my mom try motorbike ride. Something I believe she was not expecting to happen at an age of 54. But yes, as we say, Trips are all about unexpected moments.

And see that worried face of hers. Still remember the continues lecture on speed I was getting from her. I am glad, I was able to convince her for doing this.

KEMPTY FALLS:

Kempty Falls is a waterfall in Ram Gaon and at the south of Kempty, in the Tehri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand, India.

JOSHIMATH:

Here we spent 3 lovely days of our life.

Now this one is my favorite. There is no one reason to love this place, they are countless. For instance, check the below video;

This one video is really special to me. This was one of those moments where Me and Mom stayed together, holding our cups together, talking and looking at the view, embracing the moment and sharing our thoughts, catching up on life as we stay in 2 different states, thanks to our Jobs. I know I missed on adding music and will work on it more next time. But, yes, this is very precious to me. I do not think, words would do any justice to it.

AULI:

Auli is a Himalayan ski resort and hill station in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. A place most liked by my lovely mum. Her favorite among all the places we visited. I could not play an active part here as I was not feeling well because of the lack of sleep. (It takes a toll to plan a trip suiting 3 generations; My Mum, Me and My younger brother- who actually does not prefer getting caught by cameras, so do not mind if you can rarely see him through this blog.)

Sharing few of our moments from AULI;

Her Lovely smile contributes to my eternal Happiness. If I know what love is, it’s because of you!!

The one guy I was talking about. No one can understand how difficult it was to get this picture clicked without him knowing about it. Ah! My handsome little brother.

Though my brother does not want to be clicked, I must appreciate his patience with me as he was very supportive and quite creative in capturing these moments.

So, this moment is right after I started to feel good. TIPS FOR THE DAY: Drink water and keep your body HYDRATED while traveling.

MANA:

Mana is a village in the district of Chamoli in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, located at an altitude of 3,200 meters.

Here we had great fun. We visited "The Cave of Veda Vyasa", "Bheem Pul", and "Vasundhara Falls". People are really friendly in this village. It is more like a street taking you right into the market place and food stalls. A place full of wide amazingness. Why I said so, check the pictures below;

Here is my mom saying "HI!" to all of you. :) She is simply the amazing lady I know!

WIDE BEAUTY! I wish I could simply stay there in this ISOLATION PERIOD!

JOSHIMATH:

Joshimath, also known as Jyotirmath, is a city and a municipal board in Chamoli District in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Located at a height of 6150 feet.

This one was my favorite and I believe the pictures I have shared below will explain it WHY?

"Always my mother; forever my friend."

"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.” "Nature always wears the colors of the spirit." "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." "Just living is not enough."

For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver!

BADRINATH:

As per technical details: Elevation‎: ‎3,300 m (10,800 ft)

We spent few hours here. We went to the temple. We worshiped and shared our gratitude towards the God for showering his blessing upon us and making the trip possible for us all.

DEHRADUN:

Dehradun is the capital of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, near the Himalayan foothills.

This was our start point of the trip and the end one too. But we spent some time here and explored as much we could.

The places we visited were;

Robber's Cave:

Malsi Deer Park:

Additionally, few more moments which caught me off-guard were;

Back To Delhi:

After all this, just wanted to say, " Money spent on travel is never wasted."

Be safe, Be healthy and treasure your moments! #LOCKDOWN #MEMORIES
