Goa is a place that scores on its greens and its browns. Greens for the valleys and little hills. Brown for the lovely sands in the beaches. There is another shade that adds mystique to these colours and that's the golden hues of sunset. Is there that one magical place that you felt makes an aura of sunset seem larger than life?

I take you and show you Cabo De Rama!

Cabo De Rama is 16 kilometres from Agonda and 20 kilometres from Palolem, which makes it a good day trip option, if you have a vehicle at your disposal

The Cabo De Rama fort overlooks the beach. Rama and Sita have said to be staying here during the historical time of 4000 BC. That is the etymology behind the name. The word Cabo comes from the Portugese connection. Portugese wrested control from the Hindu and Muslim rulers of the time and developed the church and fort subsequently, mainly to keep a watch on intruders.

The joy of the evening sun, kissing your face is a beautiful warm feeling, as the winter chill slowly starts setting in. Add a few coconut trees from the hill that chaperone the beach below and a dash of greens, complementing the blue part of the sky. That moment is when magic hits you. A great place to watch sunsets from a little hill, which seems to have an interesting connect to the Indian historical epic Ramayana. Rama was said to have spent some time in Goa at this spot.

You have 3 places essentially. Lets look at these places.

a) The Cliffside plateau sunset point-

b) The Cabo De Rama Fort
