today it is about visiting the local places - arapuleeswarar temple, agayagangai waterfalls, maasila waterfalls, seekuparai viewpoint first stop - arapuleeswarar temple
from here, we cross the road to start descending to the agaya gangai waterfalls. the walk is made up of 1400 steps. initially the steps are paid out nicely, but after a few minutes of descend, the steps get really steep and difficult to climb down.
the view are just beautiful to watch as we go down the steps.
the first rest point/ view point comes shortly after the descent. this is the where the steps get really tricky, steep and difficult to climb down.
first view of the waterfalls. once we reach the bottom, it is a difficult walk upto the waterfalls through jagged rocks and slush.
the water spray falls far from the actual drop and is a lot, hence photography becomes difficult.
after spending a lot of time under the falls, it is time to climb back up.
the climb up is actually easier than the climb down surprisingly.

we stopped on the way at this pepper plantation which was a beautiful location.

after reaching maasila falls, we had our lunch at the parking lot where there were number of shops selling kuzhi paniyaram with chutney for veg and country chicken curry for nonvegetarians. it was just too good that i forgot to take pics of the food and went straight for it.
the falls is a short walk from the parking lot.
this kid is called harish. we came across him on the way back from the waterfalls. he studies in school and comes to sell the produce on weekends. he refused to take bananas from us when we offered it to him.

on return to semmedu we saw a board with seekuparai viewpoint written on it. so we decided to check it out. the road to this viewpoint is a narrow one, so be careful while reaching there and getting out. worth mentioning here is the chocolate shop at this view point - burfee chocolates and spices. their chocolates are damn good(verified by my friends).

next day was to return to namakkal to attend the marriage reception.
on the way at solakadu i bought spices for home. the rates were pretty fair.
i bought it at the shop called s.v.s organic products
after the purchases, we went down the deadly 70 hair pin bend road to namakkal. the views were awesome.

finally towards the evening we attended the marriage reception.

end of day 3.
next day we came back to chennai, but before departing we paid a visit to the anjaneyar temple in namakkal.
after this we left for chennai.
