What to do on a lazy Saturday morning in Bengaluru?
You want to get out of house but don't want to be stuck in traffic
You don't want to do trekking but want to go on for a long drive and experience the nature.
That's where Mallappa Konda comes in.
We started our journey at 7 am. We took the Bangalore Kolar highway. That led us to some beautiful place.
So the first pitstop Vegearea, Narsapura, Kolar. It was a delicious choice.
.
After a hearty breakfast we soon left the Kolar Highway and moved on to the beautiful rural areas of Karnataka.
You will find plenty of places to get out, stretch your legs and enjoy the beautiful paddy fields.
The road is in good condition except for the couple of meters.
The temple of Lord Malleswara Swami, atop the Mallappa Konda hillock in Gudupalle mandal of Kuppam division, bordering Karnataka and having close proximity to Tamil Nadu, remains the favourite location for people of the three States.
The road from the foothill to atop is spendid.Around 4km hairpin curves and it is awesome to ride. After reaching the top you can witness breathtaking views. If interested you can also go for a small trek to the temple
Not a well known place so it not as crowded unless it the festival time.
Be careful as there is no fencing around the edges.
#No commercial shops or hotels. Please don't carry parcels and throw garbage there.better have food in main road only ( country side you don't find good hotels).
If you are going from bangalore, be sure to stick to the main road as google can show diversion often, and you may end up in regions without signals and difficult for car to go through.
Once you leave the main road you will not find any eateries, so carry your own food and water for the journey.
