You all know how difficult it is to beat boredom and be all the time at home.
It's more difficult than you expect for a person like me who wanders all the time and never like to rest or be home. There was a time when I used to travel every weekend and used to be frustrated when asked not to plan any trips and be home.
Just the feeling of being home used to make me sad and I used to run away from people and the world to live the way I actually like. Some how I like me as a busy person who works all the week,hangs out with friends and family and travel on the weekends to some good place where I enjoy the nature and meet new people.
Now this Covid have changed the complete lifestyle and due to these lock downs and Quarantine it's too risky to travel and we are forced to be home. Initially the thoughts were even scary because that is exactly opposite of what I want to do.
But then a week passed doing work from home and I felt it's seriously boring to be like that doing nothing. Then I thought of a list of things that I would like to do in this free time.
I feel happy enjoying this quarantine and lock downs discovering myself.
Here are some ideas which I am trying to learn or implement. Would be helpful even for you 😁
-- Initially I decided to get fit and exercise a bit so I can enjoy my treks when everything settles down.
-- Started learning French again - Which was my dream while I was doing my graduation but somehow ignored it later.
-- Thought to learn some advance concepts of Data Structures but only happened for few days as I lost intrest again. Because I never liked to be a Techie girl even though my work relates to coding 😂
-- Learnt to Sketch everything that interests me and tried to capture mostly the hobbies I started as sketches.
-- Tried some origami
-- Tried to learn Guitar and was able to play some basic chords.
-- Did some arts and craft Posters that can inspire me all the time to do what I want to do.
-- Tried to cook some different food items and actually I hate to cook but unknowingly I cook a bit good 😇
-- Did a bit of Video Editing for our Food Blog.
-- Wrote my first TRIPOTO Blog ( very lengthy)
-- Taking some Hair and skin care
-- Tried a lot, to stop eating chocolate. I was able to Control for more than 1-2 weeks but all I need is "No Chocolate around ME"
-- Started to learn Dance (Bollywood and Bhangra)
-- Started Gardening. I always loved to talk to plants and it doesn't feel like home without plants. So I planted some seeds and I see most of them are growing well 😍
-- I always want to run minimum 5kms without a break but I hardly can run 2-3 minutes and rest so I started a schedule to achieve that and made it a habit to wake up at 5.30AM.
I think this is the first time in my life where I am actually serious about it and waking up on time. Usually I wake up after mid day if I have nothing to do...but even on weekends I am strictly following my routine.
Also played a lot of online ludo 😂 and started watching a lot of Netflix Series and Movies. I think this is the only time in my life where I watched most of the other language Genres - Malyalam,Tamil and English and a very few Hindi and Telugu.
Every thing I am trying to do to keep myself busy is making me happy and keeping me engaged.
I am sure each one of us have some things which we always thought of, but never happened to try. I think this is the best time to do all of that as we have a lot of time till everything is settled and we actually step out without causing any trouble to anyone.
I think after all this end I will again get back to my routine of travelling but till then I am just enjoying my life following all my dreams.
