I love beaches and I have been to many beach destinations like Bali, Phuket, Maldives, Langkawi, etc. But Seychelles was amazing and different in various ways. It’s a one complete destination for relaxing on beautiful magical white sand beaches with lush green jungle, lazing around, driving on a beautiful scenic road and exploring island's underwater marine life. It’s a not so crowded place and you love the solitude and beauty. Here is a perfect 8 days itinerary for exploring Seychelles

Trip Type: Honeymoon

Trip Duration: 7 Nights 8 Days

Best time to visit: With year around sunshine, you can visit this place anytime of the year. April-May and October-November offer mild conditions which are perfect for sunbathing, scuba diving and exploring the island. Summers i.e. June -September are high peak seasons

Cash/Credit Card/Currency: Both euros and USD currencies are accepted. Credit card is accepted at fewer places. Better to carry cash

Getting around: We hired car both in Praslin and Mahe. There is public transport available too which is cheaper and gives you tour of the city

Ferries: We took Cat Cocos and had booked in advance. It takes 15min from Praslin to La Digue and 1.5hrs from Praslin to Mahe.

Beaches in Praslin

In Praslin, since we rented a car, we drove throughout the island and visited multiple beaches. If you plan to rent a car, prefer a minimum a 1200cc car, as it is little hilly. There are multiple unbelievable beautiful beaches like Grand Anse, Cote D’or Beach, Anse Lazio. The most beautiful beach is Anse Georgettte, whose route is via Hotel Constance Lemuria. It’s a beautiful 20min walk from the gate to the beach via golf course and stunning views. It is better to call at the resort and make a reservation to visit the beach. On the way back from beach to gate, we also went to the T point of the resort which had a mesmerizing view

Day 4-5 : La Digue

Ferry from Praslin to La Digue

From Praslin, it's only a short 15-minute ferry ride over to La Digue. Things are even more relaxed on La Digue. It’s a very small island and everyone gets around on bicycle. The island can be covered on bike in about 2hrs. We rented a bicycle to explore. The hotel generally offers to pick you up from ferry point.

Stay in La digue: Casa De Leela.

It is a little home away from home. The owner, Robert, was amiable and welcoming. Our apartment had a small kitchen and a balcony. It was overall a pleasant stay in La Digue.

Cycling in La Digue

We rode bicycle throughout the island. It was little tiresome to ride uphill but it was totally worth. La digue beaches were some of the most exquisite beaches, I’ve ever seen. Every view was breathtaking with white sand, turquoise water and the greenery. Grand anse beach is one beautiful beach. It has low waves and nearby restaurant that offers shower too. Petite anse beach is much beautiful but we missed it. Anse Source d'Argent has little hill ride but again very beautiful and a must go. From the parking to the beach is a 10min walk. The beach has big stones you can sit on and a very calm and beautiful view. We also visited restaurant “chez jules” in La Digue. The food was amazing, the view and ambiance was perfect for a lunch/evening snack.

Day 6-8 : Mahe

After spending two nights in La-Digue, we returned to Mahe via ferry.

Stay in Mahe: Avani Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa

The location is perfect with a peaceful and beautiful beach. Restaurant which serve breakfast is Ocean facing, so it was stunning to eat our meals with an amazing view. We booked beach facing view, and it did not disappoint us. Housekeeping standards were excellent. The food was excellent with a good choice and variety, including vegetarian options. Overall we loved our stay at Avani

Mahe is more like a city. We spent most of the time in resort. The resort had pool and a nice private beach. One day we travelled to other side of Mahe and spent evening in Sunset beach followed by dinner at baobab pizzeria this place had nice pizzas We had already seen best of best beaches, so we spent more time in market, streets, etc.

Miscellaneous tips:

• Everything in La Digue is closed after 7pm and it is closed on Sundays.

• The local Creole cuisine, is made with coconut and a must try

• The day starts early in Seychelles. Everything opens at 8 AM and starts closing by 5 PM

• The roads are very narrow and steep in various parts of Mahe and Praslin, so plan to drive accordingly
