From the Instagram-worthy Firefall  in Yosemite, to the incomparably majestic Havasu falls in Arizona, here are the most mesmerizing waterfalls in the United States.

1. Havasu Falls, Havasupai, Arizona

Havasupai Falls is my personal favorite and the magical destination that attracts visitors from all over the world to witness the beautiful colors of the canyons in contrast with the crystal blue of the falls. The tough part is the hike to this waterfall and is recommended for experienced hikers only.

2. Wailua Falls, Kauai, Hawaii

This majestic, 80-foot Wailua fall is very accessible, located close to a roadside lookout in Kauai island of Hawaii. This is an absolute delight for photographers since a rainbow appears very often! We saw it too! If you are feeling adventurous, you can actually hike down to the waterfalls.

3. Horsetail Fall - Firefall, Yosemite, California

“Firefall” is the magical phenomenon that happens once in a year, creating illusion at the Yosemite National Park, California. It comes to life when the setting sun causes light to hit the waterfall at just the right angle and it looks like a flowing lava.

4. Beaver Falls, Havasupai, Arizona

Beaver Falls flows over a series of limestone travertine terraces, creating gorgeous views against contrasting canyons. It is about 4 miles hike from the main Havasu falls in Arizona.

5. Yellowstone Falls, Wyoming

Yellowstone Falls consist of two major waterfalls on the Yellowstone River, within Yellowstone National Park. It is a treat to watch especially when the rainbow is dancing right in the middle of this waterfall.
