Club Mahindra's Binsar Valley Resort is a hidden gem in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Binsar, located at an altitude of 2,412 meters above sea level, is an ideal cut-off destination and nature lovers’ paradise with sweeping views of majestic Himalayan peaks. The resort is accessible by both roads and railways; nearest railway station is Kathgodam, 120 kms away.

Their indigenous welcome drink- a tall glass of refreshing 'burnash', a delicious 'rhododendron' juice, is just a glimpse of the warm hospitality that they have to offer. The eco-friendly resort offers 11 one bedroom and 20 studio well-equipped apartments and a 24-hours front desk service. The cozy yellow and orange painted apartments are fitted with basic amenities like flat screen TV, sofa seating area, kitchenette with refrigerator and oven, fine-looking paintings complementing the rooms, and a balcony with a jaw-dropping view of mountains covered with pine trees. Each room has an attached private bathroom with hot/cold water facilities and complementary toiletries.

One is never too old for board games! Resort’s activity room is filled with several games like chess, carrom board, pool table, and table tennis to spend quality time with your family. Those looking for an adrenaline rush can opt for thrilling activities like horse riding, zip line, rock climbing or rappelling.

Trekking enthusiasts can explore the captivating Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary; spread over 45.59 km area, home to a plethora of wildlife and over 200 bird species. The dense forest covered with oak and rhododendron trees with narrow lanes will take you to the ‘Zero point’, almost 8000ft above sea level, offering an exemplary view of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks - Kedarnath, Shivling, Trishul and Nanda Devi.

For a spiritual experience, pilgrims can find themselves at the ancient Jageshwar Temples, Shiva’s abode, where pine trees give way to the Deodar trees and the valley wears a dark green look.

The Binsar trip is not complete without taking a journey through not widely known traditional ‘Kumaoni’ cuisine, a perfect balance of taste and nutrition. Bird song, resort’s multi-cuisine restaurant, serves an array of local, Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes. Resort’s chefs will make sure that you savor unique delicacies made of seasonal ingredients. Ghee-lathered ragi ki rotis, palak ka kappa, bhaang ka murgh, bhatt ka jhola (black soybeans), Gahat ki daal (horse gram lentils) and chutney made from hemp seeds or bhang paired with Jhangora rice (Millet of Garwhal) – pahari thali found in households and restaurants across Binsar.

Club Mahindra’s Binsar Valley resort is a perfect stay for a family getaway to hit a pause button on the hustle and bustle of the city life to unwind.
