Taking a Bath Under the Stars at Elsa’s Kopje As the room attendant showed us around Elsa’s Kopje, a luxury safari camp in arid Northern Kenya, my husband and I both eyed the outdoor bathtub built into the rocks high on an escarpment overlooking the majestic African bush. We were bleary-eyed after over 24 hours of travel time to the beginning of our African honeymoon. A bath was in order, and this just happened to be the most luxurious, decadent bath we’d ever seen. And so there we were, taking a bath in the middle of the day and drinking champagne. Not a bad way to start off our honeymoon!

We returned back to Nairobi from Masai Mara. It was a rough 6 hours by road. With a heavy heart we had to say our goodbyes to Kenya. We were smitten and had fallen head over heels in love with Africa. Promising ourselves that we are coming back to Africa soon!We took a Kenya Airways flight from Mumbai to Nairobi. The best season to visit Kenya and witness the great migration is between June to Aug!Follow me on Instagram here! Check out my blog here!

DAY 2 - After breakfast we make our way to Nakuru approximately 160 kms from Nairobi. The Lake Nakuru National Park is overflowing with wildlife and not to mention Lake Nakuru itself, the view of which from Babboon is stunning. Tonight we will stay at a beautiful camp site located on a dairy farm on the outskirts of Nakuru Town and depending on what time we arrive we may have the option of a farm visit.
