Nature is very weird in a beautiful way. Exploring that weird nature is really rare and happens accidentally in anyone's life. Have you ever seen the trees with branches and no leaves in between the huge water source? Well, if there is a lot of water, why those trees remain dead without leaves in its branches. That is a little weird right? Well, I have experienced this beautiful yet thrilling natural destination on our way back home from a friend's wedding this early summer.
After attending our friend's wedding in Bhadrachalam in Telangana, we, the batch of 6 members were travelling back to our hometown Visakhapatnam via Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. The Ghat roads of Bhadrachalam were the pure depiction of forest beauty. The route from Bhadrachalam to Rajahmundry was mostly om ghat roads, between huge forests and trees and crossing of many water resources. While we were travelling towards Rajahmundry, we found an unknown place where a huge lake was situated and boating was happening right there in between the lake. We thought of visiting the lake and have some fun time with all our friends in the Lake.
That place was near to Rampa Chowdavaram which was on the way towards Rajahmundry. The lake was quite abnormal in a good way. One would definitely get excited and shocked after visiting the scenic view of the lake. Unlike other boating destinations, this place was quite scary though, because of the presence of the dead trees but after the boating experience I felt I was totally wrong about it.
Though it was a hot sunny day, the water in the lake was cool and still. There were few men who were dealing the visitors regarding the boating. There were around 6 to 7 boats with all the safety measures. It seemed the lake was quite deep. They have given the life saving jackets to us and wearing them was mandatory. The boats were good and they maintained them in a proper way. All the safety measures were taken by the men who were maintaining the lake. The ticket costed around 70 rupees per person and they allow for around half an hour to boat around the lake. And they allow only three persons per boat. So that, two people should pedal the boat and the remaining one should balance the boat on the other side.
There were many boating destinations in Andhra Pradesh because of its water locations like rivers and oceans. In fact, Papikondalu boating is quite famous in Andhra Pradesh. The route between Bhadrachalam to Rajahmundry is full of lakes and rivers. River Godavari flows along the route from Rajahmundry to Bhadrachalam. Hence, the existence of lakes and ponds are quite common in Andhra Pradesh.
But this particular boating location is one of a kind. The dead trees are the attraction of the lake. One will feel excited when one rafts between those dead trees. The water in the lake is greenish enough and the temperature is fine. There won't be any discrepancies in the lake because of the water during the boating. Due to its location, barely people can find this place to have a good time in boating. Only people who stay nearby the villages and the explorers like us can find this destination.
Indeed, we didn't even know whether there was a boating destination, till our driver stopped near the location. When it comes to the location, this place exists on one side of the muddy road on the route towards Rajahmundry. Covered with huge trees, the location was quite shady and cool enough. But at the lake, the scorching sun has irked us off. Due to a water location, the evaporation weather actually was visible in the fluctuation of temperature. Else, this place was a scenic beauty and surely must visit one.
Finding this location is sort of difficult, but one can explore the villages near to Rampa Chodavaram in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, to find this boating place. I guess, this is the only place, I have ever seen with dead trees. There are many trees in the lake with huge branches and no leaves. As I have said earlier, one will feel weirdly awesome after visiting this place.
Surrounded by the mountain range and covered with huge trees, the mossy plants near the lake and the grey-ish trees inside the lake, bright sun in the sky, cool water and vibrant colored boats, everything was such a naturalistic depiction of the beauty. One can view the coolest color combination at this place. Black mountains, Grey trees, Blue sky, red mud, greenish murky water, various colors of boats, altogether, its just a natural canvas.
If you are going to explore the forest places and mountain ranges of Andhra Pradesh, you must definitely visit this boating destination near "Rampa Chowdavaram" which is nearer to Rajahmundry or Rajamahendravaram. This is the best place for an adventurous getaway with your pals and also a romantic getaway for couples in the evening times. But make sure, you won't get lost while exploring the place because the existence of villages and livelihood is a bit far away from the destination. So going in your own vehicles with your friends is much recommended to visit this boating spot.
