Day 1

Our plan was to visit Srinagar however ended up going to Amritsar due to most of cancelled the trip because of various reasons , we were only two people left back. we decided to say YES to this short vacation as we were bored of our customary life.

On boarded the train around 11pm for Amritsar, it was my first time going to Punjab specifically, I was looking forward for this Trip as I’ve had never been to the Border of our country and I really wanted to experience the thrill.

Day 2

We reached our hotel in Amritsar by 9pm on second day. We’re really tired to go out and roam around but as we had to book our Amritsar City tour we went. Went to Golden Temple first, I was mesmerised by the glow of the temple. One could actually sit down near the temple and enjoy the vibes.

We had dinner at the gurudwara and did some shopping outside and booked our tour for the next day.

Day 3

Our tour started around 11 in the morning. It was A double decker bus with AC coach and open rooftop. We firstly went to one more gurudwara in Amritsar which looks same to the Golden Temple.

Then khalsa college, you’ll definitely love the architecture of the college.

Next was the Gobindgarh Fort, overall I liked the fort however this was the first time in my life when I watched a show in 7D, oh yes you heard it right!

This show is based on the Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s kingdom. It was great great experience this show

PS: Entry fee was ₹180 (might have changed in 2020).

As we completed all of the other places for the day our final destination was to reach the Wagah Border and get the seats, we left from the war memorial bit early as we wanted to grab seats from where we can enjoy the ceremony without any disturbance. As soon we reached the parking lot of the place, we went to the famous restaurant Shahi Qila, our experience was at this place was great and live music was surely an addition to the overall experience of the Restaurant. After snacks we literally ran towards the security check que as we spent more than time we had to spend at the hotel (cheers to live music❤️). After completing the security process we were allowed to grab the seats on one of the sides of the stadium. As soon we got settled the ceremony started and it was a whole lot of overwhelming experience which one cannot download from internet, if you want to experience it you should go and visit the Wagah Boarder. It took us 1/2 hours to watch the complete ceremony and get out of the stadium to hop on the bus. We were dropped at the point from where we all were picked up which is GOLDEN TEMPLE. After the long day out we were super exhausted and headed towards a restaurant named as SHER-A-PUNJAB, had butter chicken with cheese garlic bread and went to hotel and slept.

PS: You can get anything you want at hotel at Wagah border.
